he school dinner kicked off once every-
one was seated at their tables. We start-
T ed with a tasty shish tawook – the chick-
en was delicious! As we enjoyed the meal,
each house was called to walk the purple car-

pet and pose for a picture.

After all the houses had their turn, we were
served a flavorful plate of rice with a rich brown
sauce. I honestly really enjoyed the intervals of
students (and even a teacher!) singing. There
were also a few piano performances too.

One of the performances was hosted by Ai-
sha Kere-Ahmed, the Head girl, who asked us
questions to see who knows Regent the best.

Finally, we had ice cream and puff puff. It tast-
ed so nice and the combination was great.
Like we were taught in our etiquette training,
we were using our desert spoon. Meanwhile,
more performances were going on. Later on,

the event had ended and we were all leaving
to go to our various homes.

In my opinion, the school dinner was a great
way to meet up and make new friends, not on
an empty stomach, obviously! I can’t wait for
the next school dinner to come!
