THE EDITOR’S NOTE

                                     Dear Parents and Students,

What an extraordinary week it has been at The Regent Primary
School! Our classrooms, hallways, and auditorium have been
alive with the vibrant energy of learning, creativity, and cultural

appreciation. The past few days have been nothing short of
magical, as we witnessed our young stars take the stage in
a series of breathtaking class-by-class presentations, each
CONTENTS celebrating the diverse and rich cultural heritage of Nigeria.

From the colourful attires to the rhythm of traditional dances,
from the evocative storytelling to the heartwarming folk songs,
FROM THE HEADMASTER’S DESK 03 every performance was a testament to the deep-rooted traditions that make our nation
      so unique.

These presentations were more than just displays of cultural artistry; they were powerful
FAIRY TALE WITH A TWIST 04 lessons in history, unity, and identity. Our pupils immersed themselves in the traditions of

various ethnic groups, learning about the values, customs, and artistic expressions that
define Nigeria’s cultural landscape. We were treated to enthralling tales from the Igbo,
THE QUEST 18 Yoruba, and Hausa traditions, each carrying timeless wisdom and moral lessons. The

energy and enthusiasm of our young performers reminded us all of the beauty that lies
in embracing our heritage while fostering an inclusive and respectful environment.

Beyond the stunning cultural displays, this week’s performances beautifully connected
to our central theme for the Spring Production — The Quest for a Golden Heart. This year’s
production was more than just a theatrical showcase; it was a profound metaphor for the
values we strive to instil in our children: love, patience, perseverance, integrity, honesty,

and kindness. Each scene was a moving portrayal of how these virtues shape individuals
and communities, much like the lessons embedded in Nigeria’s cultural narratives.

The quest for the “Golden Heart” took our pupils on a journey of self-discovery, teaching
them that true greatness is not found in wealth or power, but in the strength of one’s
character. As they brought this message to life on stage, we saw an incredible display of
talent, teamwork, and dedication. Their performances were not only a joy to behold but
also a reminder to us all that the most valuable treasures in life are those we cultivate

      within ourselves.
