here is a common African adage that a chicken
cautiously stands on one leg when it finds itself
Tin a new environment. Perhaps it does that in
order to know whether to stay or take flight. Well, the
adage seems not to apply to the new students at The
Regent Secondary School because they wasted no time
blending in. “Why?” You may ask. The simple answer
is that the structure, the people, and the atmosphere
make them feel welcome. Some of the students have

already expressed their feelings about life in their “new
school” so far. Check it out on pages 8-11.
Student Spotlight this week is on Abdulbasit Ayobami
Salami of Year 9 Benue, who relives his summer
experience. What is it all about? Visit Pages 12-13.
Just like we had new students, a number of new staff
members also joined the school. They are brimming
with enthusiasm to join the outstanding team of staff at
the only outstanding school in the whole of West Africa.
Please tap pages 14-20 to meet the new members of
staff.
If you are one of those who could hardly take off
their shoes in public, perhaps because of foot odour,
you would like to read more on how to prevent it by
advancing to pages 22-23.
This edition of The Regent Digest promises you nothing
less than it always did. All you need to do is tap to open
