year 5 literacy

The Year 5 students had a wonderful literacy immersion experience. We invited Mrs Okoye,

Adaeze’s mum, to speak to the students. The session was an enriching opportunity for the chil-
dren to learn firsthand from someone with expertise and experience.

Following the presentation, the children were encouraged to recount what they had learned, using
their writing skills to reflect on the main points and express their understanding.

It was a great example of how real-world connections can bring learning to life and make literacy
more meaningful.
