“What was Athens famous for?” The laughter, cheers,
and friendly competition made it one of the high-
lights of the day!
And of course… you can’t visit Greece without tast-
ing the food! The Greek Food Display & Taste Table
was bursting with colour and delicious aromas. There
were olives, Greek salad, pita bread, souvlaki, and
creamy Greek yoghurt — all beautifully arranged
and served by the Year 5s themselves! Each student
shared a fun fact about their dish, and soon everyone
was enjoying a true Greek feast.
To top it all off, visitors stopped by the “Write Your
Name in Greek” station, where the Year 5s became
language teachers for the afternoon! With alphabet
charts and colourful markers, guests learned to spell
their names in Greek letters and created their very
own name tags to take home.
By the end of the day, the room was filled with
smiles, laughter, and proud faces. The Year 5s had
not only learned about Ancient Greece — they had
lived it!
What a day of discovery, creativity, and fun! The
Year 5s truly showed that learning can be an adven-
ture… especially when it’s all Greek to us
