                                                                               Tiger Boy

           Introduction:

           Title: Tiger Boy

           Author: Mitali Perkins

           Publisher: Penguin Random House, India
Neel’s family wanted Neel to win the scholarship which
           would give him the

opportunity to study in a boarding school in Kolkata.
           However, Neel wanted to
stay in the Sunderbans with his family, friends, nature and
           the tigers. One
fine day, Neel found out that one of the tiger cubs from
           the reserve has gone
           missing!
Neel and his sister, Rupa were determined to find
the cub and take it back to its home, the reserve. The
journey to take the cub back to the reserve was full of
obstacles as the evil men like Gupta wanted to find the
cub and sell its body parts in the black market. There are
two important aspects in this story-first conflict between
poachers and people who wanted to save tigers. Humor
is the other aspect of the story that grabs the attention of
the readers. Each chapter has its own important events
which in turn is able to keep the readers spellbound until
the end. The flow of the story is in an organized manner

which helps the reader understand the story better. The
story is written in such a way that the readers can relate to
it and might even think of it as a real story.
The books written by Mitali Perkins are targeted for
           young adults while some
books written for children from the ages between 6-15
           years. Mitali Perkins is
an Indian-American author who mostly writes novels for
both young readers and adults. As a child, Perkins trav-
eled a lot and her story mostly reflects on her travels she
           had as a child.
