           Pippi Acts Like A Pirate

                                                                                          One Saturday after-
                                                                                   noon, Tommy and Annika
                                                                                   had gone over to Pippi’s.
                                                                                   “There is a programme where
you can perform all kinds of
                                                                                   tricks,” said Annika excitedly.
“Would you like to go?” Pippi
                                                                                   looked at them, closing one
eye. “Do you need to pay to
                                                                                   see that programme again?”
                                                                                   asked Pippi. “No!” replied
                                                                                   Tommy. “Of course not!”
                                                                                   They explained to Pippi what
they will have to do and what
                                                                                   the programme was all about.
“Sure, I can come.” said Pippi,
                                                                                   gobbling a whole cake at
                                                                                   one go. Tommy and Annika
                                                                                   shrieked with excitement.
“We will get four tickets each
                                                                                   and one for Mr. Nilsson.”
said Tommy. “I will perform as a pirate!” declared Pippi gobbling another cake. Pippi practiced all night
for her performance as a pirate. “I’m ready” Pippi decided just when the sun was about to rise and tucked
herself in her bed with her feet on the pillow.
Pippi got up and dressed herself well for the show. She also dressed Mr. Nilsson in his special
clothes. They got on the horse and galloped towards the venue. As soon as they reached, they took their
seats and waited for their turn to perform. Finally Pippi stood up and went backstage with Mr. Nilsson on
her shoulder. Annika and Tommy saw Pippi peeking and saying “Is it my turn yet?” When it was her turn
finally, she came on stage all dressed up as a pirate. First, she introduced herself and started doing some
tricks. She said some magic pirate dialogues and even told Mr. Nilsson to walk the plank. Pippi herself
walked a tightrope and did some tricks on the tightrope. In the end she did a pirate dance.
All the judges were impressed and they gave her 10/10! She went back to her seat to meet Tommy and
Annika. “You did wonderful!”said Tommy and Annika. “Really?” asked Pippi. “Of course!” screamed
Tommy and Annika. “Want some cake?” asked Pippi. “It's my birthday!” Tommy and Annika had one
slice of cake each while Pippi had a good rest. Finally, the judges revealed the winner and Pippi was in
first place. “YAY!” Pippi jumped up from her seat and landed right in front of the judges. She lifted the
judges and said,“Thank you! I don’t know what is happening but I have never felt much joy!” “You won,
Pippi!” Tommy shouted from his seat. Pippi put the judges down and received a gold medal along with
six hundred dollars as prize. “A tiny gold piece and six hundred pieces of paper!” Pippi said. “I can keep
the gold piece but the pieces of paper, I surely don’t need.”
Pippi, Tommy and Annika went back home. On the way, Pippi shrieked again, “I want to be a pirate when
           I grow up!”
