P. 2
Message from the Principal
Dear Readers,
Welcome to the digital edition of Cornice, our literary magazine 2022-
23 which showcases the exceptional talent and creativity of our students.
Since 2021, we have gone digital and each grade has its own class
magazine with different design and content ideas. This opened up new
opportunities for creativity among students. Teachers could plan out the
magazine with their students and come up with unique designs.
Grade X brings to you Setting Sail which is a testament to the power of
words and the boundless imagination of the students of Grade X. Each
student from Grade X is represented in this magazine. The magazine is
completely bilingual in the true RBS tradition and reflects their writing
skills. Students who took key roles got the opportunity to experiment
with various design ideas, and I must say that the end product looks
quite exceptional.
The work of bringing out the magazine involves a lot of teamwork and
collaboration for the students who took key roles from assigning and
editing to layout and design. They worked well with their mentor Nabin
Man Malla and learnt a lot in the process.
I want to express my appreciation to our dedicated editorial team,
composed of both students and faculty members, who worked tirelessly
to curate, design, and bring this magazine to life. Their meticulous
attention to detail has resulted in a publication that showcases the
immense talent within Grade X. Thank you to Ms Archana Rai, Mr
Tikaram Sharma and to the Coordinator Ms Rekha Pandey for their
support.
Congratulations to the students who contributed to the magazines and
to those who took specific roles in bringing the publication to fruition:
Layout and Design: Ayam Acharya and Himalaya Satyal
Editors: Nepali: Subhav Baral, Ajitesh Karki, Krishang Shrestha and
Aarya Jyoti Chhatkuli
English: Preissa Shrestha, Manushi Dangol, Anushka Sharma
and Giovanna Parajuli
Congratulations Setting Sail Team for a job done well! We hope you
enjoy going through the Setting Sail.
Happy reading! Do give us your feedback for future editions.
Thank you,
Milan Dixit
