Awarding the best

This year’s Gas Industry Awards returned to London’s Park Lane Hilton
to mark the achievements of the best the gas industry has to offer

ONCE AGAIN, the Institution of Gas
Engineers and Managers (IGEM) and
the Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA)
were delighted to host the Gas Industry
Awards marking the outstanding
contributions of the people, companies
and projects that are making a
difference in the gas industry.
More than 650 gas professionals
gathered for this spectacular
event on 15 May to celebrate the
extraordinary talent and highly
innovative work taking place within
the world of gas.
Our judging panel of leading
figures from across the transmission,
distribution and downstream gas
sectors, spent hundreds of hours
deliberating the entries before
choosing ten category winners.
The event also had a couple of THE AWARD WINNERS WERE:
surprise accolades, including our new
Apprentice of the Year Award. Manager of the Year sponsored by Radius Systems
The award was introduced in Wez Little, Synthotech
2018 to mark the government’s Year Engineer of the Year sponsored by British Gas
of Engineering campaign, which is John White, Synthotech
designed to inspire the next generation Young Person’s Achievement Award sponsored by Morrison Utility Services
