yourself so long that your subconscious mind picks it up? Do it
morning and night before going to bed and immediately after
waking up. What exactly are you repeating to yourself? The dream,
how exactly would it look like, feel like, sound like when you have
accomplished the vision? Note that I used 3 senses there, visual,
auditory and kinesthetic; these are our major senses, each
individual has a strong one and you can easily pick it up because
they would use the words like see, perspective, view, vision, etc
which signifies they are visual. If you know your stronger sense,
use this for your repetition. If you don’t know, let me share with you
how you can find it. Write one page on any topic of interest to you.
Pick up highlighter to mark the dominant words relating to senses
and yours will surely be revealed. Why is this important? If you are
visual, you are better off creating a mind movie showing your end-
result and watch it morning and evening. You may also visualize it
in addition to that. If your auditory sense is dominant, say it to
yourself morning and night. For kinesthetics, feel your way into the
vision and imagine what it would feel like to have accomplished
the vision. Having said all of this, using all the senses would be
more powerful than using one.
The second methodology is that you must sell it yourself by writing
20 true reasons why this vision is likely to succeed. Do this daily
for 21 days. This would test your resolve because most people do
it for 3 to 4 days and then something happens, and they drift away
and never come back to it. So, your motivation is that if you miss
a day, it means you will start all over again for 21 days. This would
help you stay on track with it until you succeed. Why is this
important? Your writing hand is 40% linked to your brain so
handwriting is more powerful than typing.
Start crafting your vision today. If the size of your dream doesn’t
scare you, then you are not dreaming big enough. So, make your
vision big so that you will not be able to accomplish it in a lifetime.
This is my personal opinion or rather should I say observation is
that most great men with vision live into their 70s and beyond;
Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Charles Darwin, Albert
Einstein, etc. There is something about having a purpose that may
prolong your life; because most people lose the will to live after
they stop contributing to the world. Retirement deteriorates the
sense of usefulness hence health may also deteriorate as a result.
