Important Things To Know During Your Stay
CALLING YOUR NURSE
Your room is connected to the nursing station via an intercom system. To call for your nurse, press the NURSE call button located on the bedside call remote. If you have any questions on how to use the call button, ask a sta member to show you.
TELEPHONE
All patients rooms have phones. See pg. 3
for important numbers.
FIRE SAFETY
We conduct re drills from time to time. If you hear an alarm, stay where you are. If an actual emergency exists, hospital sta will tell you what to do.
FLOWERS
Flowers are delivered to patient rooms by individual orists. Please note that owers are not allowed in Intensive Care Units.
HOSPITAL SAFE FOR VALUABLES
We encourage you to send all patient personal belongings (jewelry, credit cards, clothing and personal appliances) home with a family member or loved one. If this is not possible, your valuables can be stored in our hospital safe overseen by our Security professionals. Eyeglasses, dentures, hearing aids, oxygen, home monitors, prosthetic devices, walkers, canes, crutches, or personal wheelchairs and other items needed at bedside are the sole responsibility of the patient to secure at all times. All items you choose to keep with you during your stay will be your responsibility.
LOST AND FOUND
Please contact any member of our sta for assistance with any lost or found items.
MAIL
Mail and packages will be delivered to you by a hospital volunteer or sta member. Mail received a er you leave the hospital will be forwarded to your home.
MEDICINES
Please inform your nurse of any medications that you have with you upon
your arrival. Nursing sta will assist in securing the patient’s home medications and you will be provided a receipt.
Your medications will be delivered to the patient for discharge.
PARKING
e third and fourth oors of our parking garage are set aside for patient/visitor parking. Valet parking is available Monday- Friday. If you need an escort to your car, Security personnel are available 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
PASTORAL CARE
Patients and their
loved ones are
invited
to call upon our
volunteer chaplains/
ministers at any time.
Simply ask your nurse to request these services.
You also can nd our meditation room on the second oor, which is open 24 hours a day.
PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS & VALUABLES
Personal care items such as contact lenses, eyeglasses, hearing aids and dentures can
be stored in your bedside stand when not in use. Please do not put them on your bed or food tray to help avoid them being lost or damaged. Leave valuables like jewelry or cash at home, or give them to a trusted relative or friend to watch over.

PUBLIC RESTROOMS
For everyone’s health and safety, we ask visitors not to use patient restrooms. Public restrooms are located throughout the hospital. Ask hospital sta to direct you to the nearest one.

& INTERPRETATION SERVICES
We care about your health. In order to provide the best care, it is important that you are able to
communicate clearly
with your healthcare
providers and us
with you. We provide
interpreters in most
spoken languages
and sign language services for the
hearing impaired. All services are
provided by professionals committed to serving you. Your privacy will be protected. Let any of our sta know of your needs. Additionally, if you need the use of a TTD to make phone calls during your stay, please have a sta member contact the house supervisor to have the device
set up in your room.
