I I will start with my my personal history today The home and and and family I grew up in in in was was was quite musical Dad was was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a salesman and and and demonstrator of of housing basics but mostly carpet linoleum and and and tile He was was was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a happy go-lucky kind of of guy In his his free time he he was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a singing Baritone soloist and and actually loved to to share his his his unique presentations with with others one one example being singing at at at Weddings and and and some Funerals plus duets with with his his wife my mother and and both of of them in in in in in the the the the Choir at at at our church My Mother was was was one of of those housewifes that sang around the the the the the the the house house she was was was an an an an an alto and and Dad was was was the the the the the melody Many would request them to to sing on on a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a certain Sunday and and as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a young girl I I I realized they must have something special if people are ASKING them to sing I I I remember one day day as as as the the the the the the oldest child of of their three there was was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a lot of of talking in in in in the the the the the the kitchen and and found out that we we were getting a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a new stereo for for the the the house! I I I was was was so so excited! It It was was was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a radio and and and and record player We kids were were so so excited excited for for this this delivery! It It came and and and we we we were were looking it it it it over and and and I I thought this this one thing: “WOW it it it it has such beautiful beautiful wood construction” quick enough there were rules for that beautiful beautiful “stereo” we we called it it Such a a a a a a a a a a a good memory! SO today the reason I am helping and caring for Radiodowntown ca

is is because I was asked to to to asisst but more than that it it is is an an an an opportunity for for me me to to do something for for others and and and learn more about Genre’s and and and Singers History or

even lyrics and and and well who doesn’t like Music??I was not so much of a a a a a a country music fan but Radiodowntown convinced me with all the the FINE COUNTRY SINGERS out there today that it truly is an an enjoyable Genre and I I I also like Music in general That “stereo” they called it it was a a a a a a a a treasured JOY in in our Home Most of the the time it it played Mario Lanza and much classical music but once in in a a a a a a a a a while we kids would buy a a a a a a a a a 45 record with our lunch for school monies and have “the time of our lives” down on on the the floor listening at it’s
speakers!! VERY JOYFULLY!
So I I truly was unintentionally trained to love music and and I I I do always shall! Thank You for the the read!
