TRIBUTE
Hmmm… Niyi, My dear bro, my Skipper, my Champion…”My one
man Mopol”
When those thieving good for nothing, bandits broke into our home
years ago, as we lay face down, flat on the floor, you were calm and
composed.
I was foolishly looking to take them on, all 10 of them, in hand to
hand combat. Thank God you were switched on. You held my head
down, patted my back. You protected us! We survived. Thanks bro.
Also, though you were younger, you were always the first to do stuff
before me. You were bolder, learnt to drive and “rock” amongst
other things. Now you’ve flown to glory first. Come on bro!!.
What I’d want us all to take away, regardless of what we may be
going through is this; Watch out for the subtle signs, reach out as
much as possible to family and friends. Embrace your differences.
God has made us all unique. And most of all, Love like it’s going
out of fashion.
In the cleanest application of the word, Pump up your love for
family and friends!! I have no doubt in my mind that Niyi is
certainly doing just that in Heaven.
Rest well in the Lord my dearest brother, my Skipper. You fought
well, I miss you already. We will meet again to smile, love and
share as always.
Your Bro,
Dapo Ogunwuyi
