GROWTH PLANS
POISED FOR LONG-TERM SUCCESS
SPRSPRINGFIELD, OR – Rosboro, North America’s leading producer of glulam beams and high-quality Douglas r lumber products, had an incredibly productive 2018. Highlights of the year’s accomplishments include the addition of new personnel in strategically- critical functions, the launch of a number
of new products, and the purchase of a
very successful complimentary business. In total, these achievements have substantially
increased Rosboro’s market penetration, capacity, and shareholder value.
Founded over 100 years ago, Rosboro is located in Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley where it’s surrounded by millions of acres of productive forest lands. Although deeply rooted in tradition, Rosboro is focused on continuously adapting to the changing needs of the market. The Company demonstrates
“Rosboro just has so much energy and potential for growth. 2018 was all about getting the right things in motion to begin leveraging that potential”
a sincere care for the well-being of its employees, and this translates to extraordinary customer relationships. These relationships, combined with unique products and production capabilities, positions the Company as a premier supplier of cost-e ective structural framing solutions to the residential construction industry.
Following the Company’s 2016 acquisition by Wynnchurch Capital, Rosboro set out to increase their dominance in glulam production and become a leader among all engineered wood products manufacturers. “We have a long and storied history in the wood products industry, but our potential is so much greater,” stated Scott Nelson, Rosboro’s Chief Executive O cer. “Our new owners are demonstrating their commitment to Rosboro. There is never any doubt that we have their support in making bold investments to kick-start our expansion.”
A business is only as good as its people, and Rosboro knew that their goals would require an infusion of new talent. “If we intend to grow, we know it starts with creating demand,” says Jim Walsh, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Walsh was preparing to retire at the end of 2018, and knew that he had to build a team capable of moving the business forward. The move was to promote David Smith, a 20+ year Rosboro veteran, to Senior V.P. of Engineered Wood Product Sales. Together, Walsh and Smith then began adding additional pieces.
