G. Awards of Distinction and Achievement and Grants of this Program, “Best
Practices” adopted.
The University has developed and implemented a well-organized faculty and support
personnel development program and activities to sit well with the national drive for
global competitiveness.
The College of Nursing faculty is a team of 28 well-trained and highly skilled faculty
dedicated to delivering excellent education to the students. At present, 1 or 4% of the
faculty have a Ph.D in Nursing while one (2) is conducting their dissertation for the
completion of the said degree. The employment of PhD holders has a significant impact
in the quality of instruction and research, as well as in in various extension activities,
since they are sources of best practices that could be introduced and adopted by
stakeholders.
The university, being supportive to the professional growth of its faculty members
has nominated scholars for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) thru its
Graduate Education Scholarships for Faculty and Staff Development in the K to 12
Transition Period. One (1)) faculty member has received a Dissertation Grant from
CHED program.
The University has in placed Quality Management System and has received
certification for ISO 9001:2015, valid until 2023. The University is also the first
recipient University in the region to have received the Philippine Quality Award Level
II, in recognition of the quality management system of the Univer
ISO certificate from TǙV SǙD for Recognition of the University as PQA
Level ISO 9001:2015 II Awardee
