C. Assessment and Improvement of Students’ Academic Performance
Students’ academic performance was evaluated through a combination of several or all
of the following:
❖ written examinations to assess thinking skills
❖ summative tests such as prelims, midterm and final examinations
❖ practicum and performance tests
❖ case studies and learning feedback journals
❖ oral defense of research studies
❖ other evaluative measure such as portfolio, skills demonstration, and case presentation
Moreover, to improve the comprehensiveness and reliability of tests being administered,
table of specifications (TOS) were prepared prior to test construction.
