Bucs Blown Out By Cardinals
Blowout loss for Jameis Winston and company.
Jimmy Garoppolo
Redskins' Josh Norman Upset For Having To Take Drug Test After Game
On Sunday, it wasn’t just the five turnovers that led to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ demise. It was poor play on both sides of the ball, and a coaching staff that had no answer for the Arizona Car- dinals.
The Buccaneers traveled out west for their second away game to open the 2016 season, and were sent away with a 40-7 embarrassing loss.
Tampa Bay Buccaneer quarterback sought some re- venge on the man who picked off four of his passes, Marcus Cooper, when in the fourth quarter, Win- ston peeled back and hit Cooper on a running play. Cooper reacted to the hit by pulling Winston to the ground, and the two had to be separated by officials when Winston took a swing at Cooper.
Winston threw a career high 52 passes, completing
27 of them for 243 yards, a touchdown, and four inter- ceptions. Last week, Win- ston threw four touchdown passes in their opening sea- son win over the Falcons.
On the other side of the ball, the Buccaneer defense didn’t record a turnover for the second week in a row, and Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer passed for 308 yards and three touch- downs.
Buccaneer head coach Dirk Koetter said the team had a bad practice on Wednesday, and he entered the game concerned about how they’d perform.
Although the Buccaneer loss was disheartening, they are tied for the NFC South lead with the Carolina Pan- thers and Atlanta Falcons entering week three.
The Bucs will stay at home this week when they host the Los Angeles Rams in a 4 p.m. contest.
New Eng- land Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was knocked out of Sun- day's home
opener JIMMY against the GAROPPOLO Miami Dol-
phins with 4 minutes, 20 sec- onds remaining in the second quarter after taking a big hit from Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso and landing hard on his right throwing shoulder.
The Patriots did not provide an update on Garoppolo's status after the game. However, according to sources and mul- tiple reports, Garoppolo suf- fered a sprained AC joint and will be assessed day to day.
Rookie Jacoby Brissett, the third-round pick from NC State (91st overall), replaced Garoppolo. Players were al- ready rallying around Brissett in the locker room after the game in preparation for Thurs- day's game against the Texans.
Colin Kaepernick Movement Being Supported Even At The State House
Missouri State Senator Jami- lah Nasheed did not stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
A Missouri State senator re- fused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesday, re- maining seated in the chamber to show solidarity with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has now repeatedly refused to stand during the national an- them at NFL games.
“I decided to not stand for the Pledge of Allegiance today to stand in solidarity with the cause of injustice that Colin Kaepernick has shined a bright light upon. I am not anti-America, and in fact, it is because I love this country that I take this stand,” State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, a Democ- rat from St. Louis, said.
“I am doing so not because of past transgressions by Amer- ica, but to call attention to cur- rent injustices here in this state and country,” she added.
According to the Blaze, Nasheed went on to list the “current injustices,” including the injustice of police brutality, the injustice of voter suppres- sion, the injustice of mass in- carceration, the injustice of poverty, and more.

that. I really don't," Nor- man said. "It's crazy. Don't have anything left in the tank and they want you drug tested? I don't understand it."
The NFL conducts ran- dom drug tests year-round, and every player will be tested at least once. Nor- man said this is the first time the NFL has conducted tests after the game.
"I don't get it, I really don't," Norman said. "What's a day gonna do? It's stupid."
Has Sprained
Right AC Joint
Washington Redskins corner Josh Norman al- ready had reason to be upset after a 27-23 loss to the Dal- las Cowboys.
But he added another reason to his list: a drug test following the game.
Norman opened his in- terview session with the media by complaining about a mandatory drug test that needed to be completed shortly thereafter.
Before turning to address the media, Norman stared into his locker, sighed sev- eral times and talked with a club employee twice. Nor- man then turned around to face the media, and before taking any questions on the game, he let his feelings on the testing be known.
"How the NFL has us drug tested right after the game, I don't understand

Pop Warner Football Team
Protests National Anthem
Newton Throws 4 TDs, Panthers Drop 49ers
Floyd Mayweather has yet to take a side in the Na- tional Anthem protest ... but his TMT sponsored youth football squad showed their support by taking a knee as a team.
One of the coaches of the Las Vegas Red Lions posted the video ... saying the kids decided on their own to protest.
Reporters spoke to the manager of the team, Coach Macc, who said "it was shocking to see that these 6 year olds knew what was going on." Macc said the coaching staff discussed it with the kids and made sure "they understood why Colin
LAS VEGAS RED LIONS Kaepernick is doing it."
Macc said Floyd funds all the uniforms and pro- vides tutors for the football program, which has over 240 kids. Mayweather was not present during the game.
The Red Lions won 28- 13.
Superstar quarterback Cam Newton threw for 353 yards and four touchdowns, and the Carolina Panthers overcame four turnovers to beat the San Francisco 49ers 46-27 on Sunday in their home opener.
Newton threw two TD passes to Kelvin Benjamin and one each to Greg Olsen and Devin Funchess to pass Jake Delhomme for most TD passes in franchise history with 122.
Newton showed no ill ef- fects from the four helmet-to- helmet hits he took in Carolina's season-opening loss to Denver. He took one shot to the head from line- backer Eli Harold late in the game after a pitchout on an option play, but quickly got to his feet.
Newton's first pass was tipped and intercepted by Antoine Bethea, leading to a 49ers field goal. But the 2015 league MVP locked in

after that, completing 24 of 40 passes while running for 37 yards on six carries.
Olsen gave the Panthers the lead for good in the sec- ond quarter when he hauled in a career-long 78-yard touchdown pass from New- ton after the 49ers bit hard on play-action. That left the Pro Bowl tight end wide open on a seam route. Olsen finished with five catches for 122 yards.
Benjamin, who missed last season with a torn ACL, finished with seven catches for 108 yards and has three TD catches on the season.
