Home going services cel- ebrating the memory of Mrs. Marion Idell Forde- Chase who passed away on September 16, 2016, will be held Wednesday, Septem- ber 21, 2016, at 12 noon, at First Baptist Church of Progress Village Pavilion 8722 Progress Boulevard Tampa, FL 33619, with Dr. Sam Maxwell, Senior Teaching Pastor, officiat- ing. The location of Inter- ment will be Canarsie Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
Marion was born in Bar- bados in the Parrish of St. Lucy on February 13, 1938. She completed her early ed- ucation and was later trained as a seamstress. Marion was a faithful Christian and a true be- liever in Jesus Christ and anyone who knew her would attest to her faith. They joined Life and Light Apostolic Church in Brook- lyn, NY.
In July, 2006 Marion and Edward relocated to Florida and bought a mod- est home in the Progress Village Community to live out their retirement years. She joined the fellowship of The First Baptist Church of Progress Village. She was active in Tuesday Morning Bible Study and was very active with the Community High Noon Prayer Band. She loved to pray and visit the sick and shut-in mem- bers.
She is survived by: her husband, Edward Chase; brothers, Earl Roach, Clarence Roach, Eversley Coulthrust; sisters, Carmen Wells, Vadney Hinds, and Shirley Murray of the UK.
She married her late husband, Clarence Forde in 1965 and to that union 6 children were born: John Forde, Peter Forde, Earl Forde, Mary Forde, Edwin Forde, and the late Jan Forde. She also had one stepson, Michael Chase, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing rela- tives and friends who will miss her dearly.
The processional will arrange at 11:45 a. m. on Wednesday.

A popular East Tampa businessman died on Sep- tember 11th, following a brief illness. Mr. Christopher Heyward passed away at Florida Hospital of Carroll- wood, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 74-years- old.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Mr. Hey- ward was an entrepreneur. During the 1960s, he was em- ployed with the railroad.
For several years, he worked as a disc jockey. He was often called upon to play at weddings, birthday parties and other events.
For more than 15 years, he worked with such notables as Mikal T., Randall C, and Floyd Joy, using the name of “The Rev. Dr. Black.” He retired in 1988.
His wife, Mrs. Vivian Heyward said for several years, he played music for
teenagers from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. every Wednesday. “The parents would drop them off and come back and pick them up.”
Mr. Heyward, a former racing car driver, is best known or his used car dealer- ship located adjacent to his home at the corner of N. 34th Street and E. 28th Avenue.
“He really loved helping people and he was able to help a lot of families who could not afford to buy new cars. He operated the busi- ness and his Citizens Band radio right up until he be- came ill,” Mrs. Heyward said.
In addition to Mrs. Hey- ward, Mr. Heyward is sur- vived by 8 children, several grandchildren, great grand- children, other family mem- bers and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Heyward will be held on Saturday. Harmon’s Funeral Home is in charge of han- dling arrangements.
