On Saturday, July 30th from 10a.m.to2p.m.,RaysofHope Community Outreach Ministry will be hosting a Back To School Bash at New Smyrna Baptist Church, 5015 North 17th Street.
Rays Of Hope founder, Ho- race Drew, said they will have plenty of book bags for the kids, as well as a bounce house, food and entertainment.
“We ask that parents accom- pany their children to this event
so they can get a free book bag. “Everyone is invited to come out and have a great time. It’s all about the kids, and they love when they see the grown-ups actively participating in these
events.”
Drew said there are so
many people behind the scenes that make these events possible. “First I want to thank all of the sponsors who made our
July 16th event a success.
“I want to thank the host school, Middleton High School, and the principal and assistant
principal, Dion Maddox. I also want to thank DPMG, U.S. America Bank, Holmes Funeral Home, Harold Reeves Plumb- ing, Dr. Henry O’Neal, Lewis Bingham, Corey Curry, Quality Roofing, Miller Promotions, and special thanks to the Tampa Police Depart- ment, Pete Edwards, Cyn- thia Allen, Marilyn J., and Bob Henriquez.”
Drew said they served more than 200 kids last year, and he expects that number to grow.
