Travis Rudolph, a for- mer wide receiver for the Florida State Seminoles, is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with a shooting early Wednesday morning, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to a double shooting in Lake Park, Florida, soon after midnight Wednesday, the sheriff's of- fice said in a statement. One man at the scene had been taken to a local hospital for treatment. Another man was found dead not far away in
Palm Beach County Jail, the sheriff's office said in a state- ment. According to court doc- uments, he faces one charge of first-degree premeditated murder and three charges of attempted first-degree mur- der.
He appeared in court Thursday morning, where a judge ordered him held with- out bond pending a full bond hearing at a later date. A spokesperson for the public defender's office confirmed it was representing Rudolph, but said a specific lawyer has not been assigned to his case.
Shaquille O'Neal Pays Off Engagement Ring For Random Man At Jewelry Store
One lucky man unexpect- edly enjoyed the fruits of Shaq’s labor while purchas- ing an engagement ring in Atlanta.
Buying an engagement ring for a future spouse can be stressful enough. But Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal made it a lot easier for one man.
During a segment on NBA on TNT, in which O'Neal serves as an analyst, he spoke about how he paid off the price of an engagement ring for a man who was shopping at a jewelry store after a video of the moment went viral.
"This happened yester- day," O'Neal said on the broadcast. "So I was in Zales, looking for some loop earrings and I seen the guy come in and he was just so shy and he was saying, 'Hey, how much do I owe to pay off my ring?' So I said, 'My man, how much is the ring?' I'm not going to say the amount, but it's not much for me."
In the video, O'Neal is seen apparently squaring away the bill with the associ- ate before he goes to shake the hand of the man who was buy- ing the ring and then patting him on the back.

Deshaun Watson’s at- torney filed a motion earlier this week seeking to force the quarterback’s alleged sexual assault victims to reveal their identities. A judge ruled in Watson’s favor in one of the cases on Friday morning.
Harris County Judge Dedra Davis ruled at an emergency hearing that one of the 22 plaintiffs who is suing Watson for sexual assault must identify herself by refil- ing her lawsuit with her name attached. The alleged victim had previously been referred

to as Jane Doe in her law- suit.
A similar hearing regard- ing at least 12 of the other plaintiffs will be held later on Friday.
Team Wins Important Ruling
Officials will examine the brain of Phillip Adams, the former professional football player accused of fatally shooting a South Carolina physician, three family mem- bers and a repairman before killing himself, will be tested for a degenerative disease.
York County Coroner Sab- rina Gast said in a statement to media outlets Friday that Adams’s family has allowed her to do the examination as part of his autopsy. The exam-
ination will be performed in conjunction with Boston University.
The autopsy will be an at- tempt to test for
chronic trau-
matic en- cephalopathy, or CTE. The illness has been found in a number of other former foot- ball players who suffered re-
peated brain trauma.

PHILLIP ADAMS
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have no of- ficial deadline, as of now, on when they would reach a new contract.
Another deadline is rap- idly approaching, however. As a first-round selection in the 2018 NFL draft, Jackson is eligible to receive a fifth-year option.
Baltimore has to decide by May 3 if they intend to pick up Jackson’s option, which will almost certainly happen. Jackson remains among the NFL’s best young quarter- backs and is the face of the

ESPN has room for a new NBA analyst after Paul Pierce was fired last week, and Nick Young would like to submit an application.
Young, who has not played in the NBA since 2018, tweeted on Wednesday about the new job opening at ESPN. He seemed like he was being sarcastic, but he would probably be interested if the network took him up on it.
Of course, Pierce was fired by ESPN after his live video stream appeared to show him smoking mari-

This is where things be-
