REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NO. P-004-21 ON-CALL UPLAND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES PROJECT NO. 21-01221
Port Tampa Bay (PTB) is advertising for Requests for Proposals (RFP) from qualified firms or individuals interested in providing on-call Upland Construction Services.
All interested firms will obtain a copy of the procurement instructions and submittal documents and submit a completed response to Port Tampa Bay, 1101 Channelside Drive, 4th Floor, Tampa, FL 33602. Submittals are due by 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021, and will be opened at the same date and time.
PROSPECTIVE RESPONDENTS ARE ENCOUAGED TO ATTEND THE NON-MANDATORY PRE-PROPOSAL TELECONFERENCE on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. See Attachment 4 of the RFP Document for teleconference details.
All responses to the RFP shall include a letter indicating the Firm’s interest and completion of the RFP Documents, including a Vendor’s Questionnaire. Firms failing to submit the required RFP Documents may be deemed non-responsive to the RFP. The RFP will be available through the DemandStar System (www.demandstar.com) or through a link on PTB web site (www.porttb.com) on Friday, April 16, 2021.
PTB encourages the use of registered Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms to the greatest extent possible on projects and has a goal of nine percent (9%) SBE participation. PTB will consider SBE participation when evaluating the responses.

     CORRECTION HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – PUBLIC NOTICE APPLICANTS FOR APPRAISER AND ATTORNEY SPECIAL MAGISTRATES
Opportunities now exist for appraisers and attorneys to serve as SPECIAL MAGISTRATES for the 2021 VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD.
An Appraiser Special Magistrate appointed to hear issues regarding valuation of real estate must be a state certified or licensed Florida Real Estate Appraiser pursuant to Chapter 475, Florida Statutes, and have not less than five years experience in real property valuation. An Appraiser Special Magistrate appointed to hear issues regarding the valuation of tangible personal property must be a designated member of a nationally recognized appraisers’ organization and have not less than five years experience in tangible personal property valuation. An Attorney Special Magistrate must be a member of The Florida Bar with no less than five years experience in the area of ad valorem taxation.
Prior to conducting hearings, Magistrates must complete Department of Revenue training. Magistrates will conduct hearings and write findings and conclusions of law. Qualified individuals wishing to serve must file an application on or before Friday, May 21, 2021.
