Local Real Estate Agent Creates Magic For Kids
BY MONIQUE STAMPS Sentinel Staff Writer
Darrell Herbert has al- ways been interested in en- trepreneurship. In May 2004, he created A Party 2 Remember, a party planner business for kids when his son was born.
When his daughter was born, he was determined to leave a legacy for his children despite being a full-time real- tor. His business is black- owned, and family operated. His son works with the com- pany when not in school.
A Party 2 Remem- ber caters to special events and party planning with kids as the focus. All events are family friendly. Some of the offerings include backyard parties, corporate functions, graduation parties, and church events. Their com- pany slogan is “a party we’re sure you’ll never forget!”
A Party 2 Remember is fully licensed and insured and offers bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, rock climbing, dunk tanks, and many other excit- ing activities.
Herbert says the com- pany went through extensive vetting to become a partner with Tampa Parks and the school system. He is one of

only two black companies that are approved as vendors. Herbert works with indi- vidual schools and PTAs to

Herbert’s plans are to eventually grow the business for sale so that he can move on to something less physical while continuing to grow a legacy for his children.
