County Accepting Payment For Traffic Tickets By Phone
The Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller’s Office recently announced a new form of payment. Resi- dents can now pay traffic tick- ets over the telephone 24 hours per day.
A new voice-activated sys- tem also allows the caller to set a court date to challenge a traf- fic citation without talking to a clerk.
Clerks are available to assist and to answer questions Mon- day through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If the wait is long, callers can request that a clerk call you back so you don’t waste time.
Pat Frank, Hillsborough National
County Clerk of Court & Comp- troller said, “We are constantly striving to provide our cus- tomers with the best possible service. This new phone system will allow you to conduct your business with my office when it’s most convenient for you, the customer.”
Traffic tickets and other services, including reviewing court records, can be done on- line at hillsclerk.com 24 hours a day. The website was re- designed in March so it is opti- mized for mobile devices, including wait times for cus- tomer service counters and call-ahead seating.

Man Robbed, Fatally Shot In Head
In Front Of Family In Cleveland
A 24-year-old man died at University Hospital after being shot in the head Tuesday night on the city’s east side.
The fatal shooting occurred along the 2900 block of East 130 Street in Cleveland’s Buck- eye-Shaker neighborhood.
Police say Mallik Williams and several family members just returned home and were in the process of going into the house when they were forced inside by several armed men.
Witnesses tell police that the suspects robbed Williams before shooting him.
Williams was rushed to the hospital where he later died. The neighborhood is still reeling from a violent gunfight that broke out at East 116th
