Tom Brady Working Without Knee Brace In Latest Workout Video
49ers Release Former Bucs Josh Johnson
Tom Brady seems to be coming along in his recovery from offseason knee surgery.
Brady published a video on Instagram Tuesday pro- moting his apparel brand partner. In the video, Brady is running and throwing with- out wearing a knee brace.
It’s unclear exactly when this video was recorded, but it’s a good sign either way.

after winning the Super Bowl. He acknowledged in a recent radio interview that the injury was more serious than many may have realized. If he’s al- ready working without a brace, that is a positive sign about his status for the sea- son.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is not expecting Brady to do a ton of work though in the team’s minicamp next week.
Virginia Tech Football Player Charged With Murder

Isimemen Etute, an 18- year-old Virginia Tech football player, was arrested Wednes- day and charged with second- degree murder in connection with the death of an acquain- tance, 40-year-old Blacksburg resident Jerry Smith, author- ities said Wednesday. The Blacksburg Police Department said officers were called to Smith’s apartment at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday to per- form a welfare check and found him dead inside.
“The Virginia Tech and Town of Blacksburg communi- ties are united in our shared concern for the welfare of all. Together, we denounce all acts of violence and stand together in support of one another,” the school said in a Wednesday statement. “Blacksburg Police continues to lead this ongoing investigation, and the univer- sity will assist law enforcement agencies working the case in any way it can.”
Police said that shortly after Smith’s death was ruled a homicide, they learned that he and Etute “were acquain- tances.” The freshman, who is majoring in human develop- ment, was quickly identified as a “person of interest” and later arrested after investigators spoke with several witnesses.
The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly clipped Josh Johnson from the roster, the 5th time that the journey-man quarterback has been released by the team, per Tom Pelis- sero of NFL Network and SiriusXM NFL Radio.
With Johnson jettisoned, the 49ers now have Jimmy Garoppolo, Trey Lance, Josh Rosen and Nate Sud- feld on the roster.

Only this time, his ran- dom act of kindness included a challenge for Brooklyn Nets star James Harden.

Reggie Bush, Andrew Luck and Marshawn Lynch are among the first- time nominees on the ballot for the next class of the Col- lege Football Hall of Fame.
The National Football Foundation unveiled the list of candidates for the 2022 class on Wednesday morn- ing. It’s a list that includes 78 players and seven coaches from the FBS level, as well as 99 players and 33 coaches from the lower ranks of col- lege football.
The ballot was sent to Na- tional Football Foundation members and current Col- lege Football Hall of Famers
on Wednesday. Once their votes are tabulated, they are submitted to the NFF’s Hon- ors Court, which will then se- lect the class of 2022. The class will be announced in early 2022 and formally in- ducted into the Hall of Fame at the 64th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 6, 2022
