Cardale Jones Unleashes 66-Yard Throw At Ohio State Spring Game
CARDALE JONES
Cardale Jones still has that famous arm strength, as he proved on Saturday.
The Ohio State Buckeyes held their annual spring foot- ball game in Columbus, and Jones was present to take part in a throwing competi- tion.
The current Buffalo Bills quarterback and NCAA champion uncorked a flat- footed 66-yard toss from the end zone.
David Price Says Rehab Is ‘Going Pretty Smooth’
DAVID PRICE David Price has not
pitched yet this season for the Boston Red Sox as he recovers from an elbow issue.
Price experienced sore- ness in his elbow during spring training and under- went an MRI that revealed he would not need surgery. He’s been rehabbing since and is in the middle of a throwing pro- gram that will hopefully get him ready for action before too long.
Price threw a bullpen ses- sion on Saturday and says his rehab program is “going pretty smooth.”
Price didn’t throw any breaking balls during his bullpen session as he’s not ready to do that from a mound just yet.
The 31-year-old went 17-9 with a 3.99 ERA last season — his first with the Red Sox. It seems like a return at some point in May is likely.
Ex-NFL TE Todd Heap Kills Daughter While Moving Car
Transplant From Former
NFL TE Konrad Reuland
Former NFL tight end Todd Heap experienced a horrific tragedy on Friday.
The Mesa Police Depart- ment said on Friday that Heap was the driver of a truck that struck his 3-year- old daughter, who later died from her injuries.
According to FOX 10 in Phoenix, the police re- sponded to a call of an acci- dent involving a car and pedestrian inside a gated community. Heap was going out to move his car forward and did not realize that his daughter was on the drive- way.
Police say the young girl was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Phil Jackson Admits Would Be Better
New York Knicks president Phil Jackson admitted Fri- day that Carmelo Anthony may well be better off leaving the New York Knicks.
Jackson told the media that, with the Knicks once again failing to win, An- thony would be best served going somewhere else to compete for a championship.
Anthony’s departure seems like a formality at this point. He wants to stay with some assurances, but this isn’t exactly the sort of win- ning message he probably
Baseball Hall of Famer Rod Carew is fortunate to be alive after facing a number of health challenges over the past year-plus, but he is doing well because of a heart transplant he received back in December. Believe it or not, the heart that is cur- rently keeping Carew alive once belonged to a fellow for- mer professional athlete.
Konrad Reuland, an ex-NFL tight end who was just 29 when he died of a brain aneurysm on Dec. 12, had previously made the de- cision to be an organ donor. As it turned out, Carew was at the top of the donor list after he suffered a massive

heart attack in 2015. Carew’s heart attack was
described as a “widow maker,” and doctors say he basically cheated death. The 1977 A.L. MVP being in posi- tion to receive a new heart after a tragic death is the cir- cle of life at its best.

Heap, who is from Mesa, Ariz., was a first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens out of Arizona State. He had 499 career catches for 5,869 yards and 42 touchdowns. Now 37, Heap was a two-time Pro Bowler.

wants to hear. Jackson has essentially admitted that An- thony should leave if he wants to try and win a title. That seems like it should seal his fate.
NFL DB Could Land $10M
Per Year If Domestic
Violence Charges Dropped
If charges are dropped by the district attorney, former San Francisco 49ers corner- back Tramaine Brock could be in for a significant payday. Brock was quickly released by the 49ers follow- ing an arrest last month and booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
However, as reported, there remains the possibility these charges will be dropped, and “several NFL teams are keeping tabs” on the situation. If he’s cleared of these charges, then Brock could be in line to bring in an average of $10 million-plus per year on a new deal before the draft.
The 49ers were close to offering Brock an extension before the arrest that led to his release. He also notes this situation could have some bearing on the draft itself,

which is loaded with talent at the cornerback position.
Prior to being released, Brock was about to enter into the final year of a four- year contract and was set to count $4.3 million against the cap. Originally an un- drafted free agent out of Bel- haven University in 2010, Brock had been with the 49ers throughout his seven- year career.
Paul Millsap After Hawks' Loss: We Played Basketball, They Played MMA
The opening game in the first-round playoff series be- tween the Washington Wiz- ards and Atlanta Hawks included moments when Paul Millsap and Markieff Morris, and then John Wall and Dennis Schroder, talked some smack and exchanged words.
But after the Wizards won 114-107 on Sunday, Millsap indicated that the Wizards turned the game into some- thing closer to WWE's "SmackDown."
"The difference in the game was we were playing basketball and they were playing MMA," Millsap told reporters, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitu- tion. "They were physical. When the game is like that,

we have to match their physi- cality. But again, we've got to go get some moves and bring them back to the court."
Wizards star guard John Wall sprinted his way to a playoff career-high 32 points plus 14 assists. Wall was a blur at times, scoring 15 points in a third quarter that proved to be the knockout punch for Washington in Game 1.
