A homegoing celebration for Mr. Von Eric Dawson of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 will be held on Friday, April 21st, 11 a. m. at Aikens Fu- neral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Elder Bernard McCray, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Ceme- tery.
Von was born on June 27, 1969 in Titusville, Florida to Albert Dawson, Jr. and Kath- leen Pruitt. Von graduated from Andrew Jackson School in Cambria Heights of Queens, New York. He was a member of the track and field and football teams. He was employed with Ingersoll- Rand Company.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his loving wife, Sicorra Dawson; chil- dren, Aqiyla Geneva Dawson and Von Eric Dawson, Jr.; 4 grandchildren; brother, Al- bert Napoleon Dawson (Denise); sister, Retina Deon Dawson (Vance); 3 aunts; 4 uncles; in-laws, Judie and Bernard McCray, James Bradley, Willie Williams, Willie Williams, Jr., Nicole Williams, Charlonda and Alba Manzano; godmother, Roberta Godwin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service on Friday.

Accidents
14-Year-Old Charged In Accident That Left 6 Injured
The Florida Highway Pa- trol charged a 14-year-old with driving without a license and careless driving. His mother and her boyfriend may also be facing charges.
According to police, Ar- mani Santi De Jesus, of Tampa was reportedly driv- ing a 2000 Ford Explorer on I-4 Saturday evening. At some point, De Jesus at- tempted to change lanes as he approached mile marker 4 and observed another vehicle in the center lane.
The 14-year-old over-cor- rected to avoid hitting the other vehicle and lost control of the vehicle. The Explorer then left the roadway and struck an outside barrier wall.
Johnathan Occide, 16, received minor injuries. He was treated at the scene. The other 5 occupants were trans- ported to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition. They included De Jesus, his mother, Ms. Amanda Teresa Rossiter, 32; and her boyfriend, Louis
Gabino Serrano Soto, 34, of Tampa.
Police said 3 other chil- dren were transported to the hospital in serious condition. They were identified as 3- year-old Valantina Ser- rano, Juan Carlos Serrano, 6, and 6-year-old Jaharia Serrano, all of Tampa.
Police said other charges may be pending in the case. The accident closed a portion of Interstate 4 for several hours.
Elderly Woman Killed Crossing U. S. 301
A 68-year-old woman died Saturday night after being struck while crossing U. S. 301. The accident took place shortly after 8:30 p.m., at U. S. 301 and Lightfoot Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Peter Jeantry, Jr., 33, of Braden- ton, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Enjoy and Christopher Judah, 43, of Lithia, was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa. Both were trav-
eling northbound on U. S. Highway 301.
Several pedestrians were attempting to cross the high- way at Lightfoot Road. Jeantry failed to see the pedestrians and struck Judah’s vehicle in the rear. Jeantry’s vehicle was then redirected, and hit Victor Macedo Garcia, 26, and 68-year-old Eva Evellanad, of Cresent City.
The vehicle continued on and struck a parked and un-
occupiedvehiclebeforecom- ing to rest.
Garcia was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. Ms. Evellanad was transported to Southbay Hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.
Jeantry was the only person in his vehicle and he was not injured. There were four people in the Judah ve- hicle, none of whom were in- jured.

Police are searching for the driver of a truck that left a motorcyclist in serious condi- tion. The accident took place on I-275, near mile marker 39.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Keith Michael Thibodaux, 53, of Largo, was driving his 2008 motorcycle when the driver of an unidentified tan pickup truck failed to maintain its lane. The pickup collided with
themotorcycle.
Thibodaux lost control of
the motorcycle after being struck and collided with the median wall. He was trans- ported to St. Joseph’s Hospi- tal, where he was admitted in serious condition.
The driver of the pickup fled the scene. Anyone with information about the acci- dent is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at (813) 631-4020.
CORRECTION
In the Friday, April 14th edition of the Sentinel, a Memoriam for Mrs. Maggie Mae Williams incorrectly stated it was a Birthday Memoriam. The memoriam was in remembrance of her date of death, April 10, 2003.
