Police Search For 3 In Theft Of Checks

Police Search For Men Wearing Masks In Robbery

The Pasco County Sher- iff’s Office is currently searching for two men who robbed a 7-11 Store. The rob- bery took place on Thursday shortly after 1:30 a.m.
Police said two Hispanic or white men entered the store at 27219 Wesley Chapel Blvd. One of the men was wearing a clown mask and the other was wearing a wolf mask. The suspects pointed a Glock handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
After receiving the money, the suspects fled northbound in a newer model white car.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for three people in connection with stolen checks. The checks were later cashed in the Orlando area.
According to police be- tween March 22nd, several ve- hicles were reportedly burglarized and some of the property taken included per- sonal checks.

tween the ages of 20 and 30. On March 23rd and March 24th, police said an unidenti- fied white woman, driving a newer model Toyota Avalon XLE, and dark tinted win- dows, cashed several of the checks at various Regions

On Friday evening, the Tampa Police Department launched an investigation into an injured person. They ini- tially thought it was a shoot- ing.
But, after conducting their investigation, police said the victim suffered an injury to the head that was not life- threatening. The name of the victim was not released.
Free Agent Faces Gun Charge

Former Buccaneer wide re- ceiver Louis Murphy has been arrested after being stopped at the airport. The ar- rest took place Wednesday af- ternoon.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office website, Murphy was re- leased after posting a $2,000 bond. He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm.
Murphy, 29, was stopped at a security checkpoint. The Bucs waved him after he missed the 2016 season recov- ering from a knee injury the season before.
Man Robbed After Leaving Bank
An elderly Tampa man was apparently followed from his bank and robbed last Thursday morning. The robbery took place in the parking lot of the Publix at 8701 W. Hillsbor- ough Avenue.
According to police, a Black man approached the victim from behind and grabbed his back pocket as he exited his ve- hicle in the parking lot. After taking the envelope containing the money, the suspect ran to a waiting car being driven by an- other Black man.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice at (813) 247-8200.

Man Dies After Being Shot Several Times
Man Wanted For
The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man dead. Police responded to the shooting at 1834 49th Street South.
According to police, the victim has been identified as George Hall, 37, of St. Pe- tersburg. His body was dis- covered at the residence around 2:30 a.m., Saturday. He had been shot several times. Hall was pronounced deceased at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Hospital upon arrival.
Probation Violation Found
Hiding In Duct Vent
A 47-year-old man has been charged with violation of contraband into a deten- tion facility and possession of heroin. He has also been charged with resisting arrest without violence.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 4004 W. Hamilton Avenue to lo- cate Larry G. Puleo on April 13th. They were search- ing for him for violation of probation.
When deputies arrived, they could hear someone in the attic. K9 Deputy Fer- reira and his dog, “Joker,” made numerous announce- ments for Puleo to surren- der. After about an hour, the deputies could not locate him in the attic. They continued to search for him and finally located him in a duct in the

No one has been taken into custody. However, the investigation is continuing.

Police said he had cut a
hole in the duct and was hid- ing inside. He was removed from the duct and trans- ported to St. Joseph’s Hospi- tal, where he was treated for hypothermia. He was then transported to the Hillsbor- ough County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
