City Of Tampa Parks & Recreation Presents Jingle Jam
As part of the City of Tampa’s ongoing commit- ment to provide our residents with exciting and affordable programming while school’s out, Parks & Rec wil be offer- ing free activities at two of the City of Tampa’s Parks & Rec Centers during this year’s “Jingle Jam.”
These centers will have holiday themed activities for all ages and special guest ap- pearances from some of the holiday favorites.
“We know the holiday season is a time for giving so opening our Tampa Parks & Rec facilities while kids are out of school at a free or re- duced cost is a no-brainer,” said Mayor Bob Buck- horn. “These centers provide a safe and fun environment for kids and teens to spend their holiday break, we’re
even throwing in some holi- day activities to get them in the spirit of the season!”
The parks that will be open for free are:
Cyrus Greene Center

The hours of operation are: Monday, December 19th – Thursday, December 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p. m.; Tuesday, December 27th – Friday, December 30th from 7:30a.m.–6p.m.
*Stay & Play will still take place and the centers will re- main open until 9 p. m.
Doctors Chosen As Guest Speakers Luncheon Event For Seniors

On Monday, December 19th, two local physicians were guest speakers at an event and luncheon. It took place from 12 noon until 2 p.m., at 1495 Tampa Park Plaza.
The topic of discussion outlined for the event was “Preventing Depression.” The program was presented by Florida Family Primary Care Centers of Tampa Social Services and Tampa Park Apartments.
The guest speakers for the event were
Dr. Laurence Petty and Dr. Yves Jean-Baptiste.
Dr. Petty is the Medical Director at Florida Family Primary Care Centers , 11531 N 56th St. #103, in Temple Terrace. He previously served as a Geriatrics doc- tor in Plant City, and is affiliated with nu- merous bay area hospitals.
He received his medical degree from

Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine in 1985 and has been in practice for over 20 years.
Dr. Petty is one of 12 doctors Mease Countryside Hospital, and one of 7 at Mease Hospital, who specialize in Geri- atrics.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste specializes in Family Medicine at Florida Family Pri- mary Care Centers, 11531 N. 56th St. #103, in Temple Terrace.
He received his medical degree from Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, Tampico Faculty Of Medicine in Mexico in 1992 and holds medical licenses in the states of New York and Florida.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste has an affinity for solving complex medical problems and the drive to improve patients' health. He is multilingual, speaking fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste has experience caring for people of all ages.

Strawberry Festival
Officials of the Florida Strawberry Festival said, “We have received confirmation from Kip Moore’s team that his show at the Florida Strawberry Festival is NOT canceled. We under- stand he will be taking time off, but those plans do not affect his show here in Plant City on March 3 at 7:30 p. m. Good seats are still available.
