Tampa Man Being
Child In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Truck
Sought For First
A 9-year-old student was admitted to a local hospital after being in- volved in a traffic accident. He was at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr., Street S, near 13th Avenue when the accident took place last Friday.

Reward Offered In Fatal Hit And Run Accident

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a hit and run driver. The unidentified driver hit a pedestrian last Wednesday night and fled the scene.
Tampa Police said at ap- proximately 11:37 p. m., 52- year-old Willie James Bacon, Jr., was walking in the roadway on Nebraska Av- enue when he was struck by a Ford Explorer. The impact from the accident caused him to land in the southbound lanes of Nebraska Avenue, where he was immediately struck by another vehicle.
The driver of the Ford Ex- plorer, identified as Ms. Laquita Jackson, 42, of Tampa, stopped and waited for police.
However, the driver of the second vehicle struck Bacon as he lay in the street, and fled from the scene. Bacon died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives are asking the public to help with the investi- gation by sharing any infor- mation about the hit and run accident to contact them.

The truck was driven by Theodore Demps, 67, of St. Petersburg. Police said Demps remained at the scene after the accident and most likely will not be charged.
Austin was transported to Bayfront Health St. Pe- tersburg, where he was ad- mitted with serious injuries. Austin was walk- ing home from Campbell Park Elementary School.
Degree Murder
A 22-year-old man is being sought by police in connection with a murder that occurred last month. He is considered armed and dangerous.
On November 1st, the body of 26-year-old Evelyn Woodham was found in a ditch. The discovery was made at 20th Avenue South and 58th Street South, in Palm River. Her body was discovered by a passer-by on horseback at approximately 1:43 p.m. Ms. Woodham was fully clothed at the time her body was found, but suf- fered trauma to her upper body, police said.
Her death was determined to be a homicide and detec- tives launched an investiga- tion. As a result of that investigation, detectives have identified James Luis Scott, who also goes by the name of “Snoop,” as a sus- pect in the murder.

Reward Being Offered For North Tampa Robbery Suspect
A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to the identification and arrest of a man who robbed a woman last week.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently trying to identify a man who robbed a woman last Monday at the corner of E. Fletcher Avenue and N. 20th Street.
The man is described as a Black man about 6’4” and weighing around 220 pounds. He had a short afro, but a full beard. He was last seen wearing a white wind- breaker, black gym shorts with red stripes and read and black sneakers.
The woman told police when he took personal items from her and fled from the scene on foot. He was last seen running eastbound through the Avesta Apart- ment Complex.

Suspect Wanted For Tampa Murder Captured In Louisiana
Detectives with the Tampa Police Department identified Keith Earl Davis, 43, of Tampa, as a suspect in the murder of William Leslie McGoff and issued a war- rant for his arrest last week.
Detectives with The Tampa Police Department were noti- fied of Davis’ capture in Sul- phur, Louisiana, over the weekend. Sulphur is a small town located near the Texas border.
Police said Davis was ar- rested without incident. Tampa detectives will visit the town and return Davis to Tampa. He is facing the charges of first-degree mur- der, robbery, and grand theft.
When the 53-year-old man did not arrive at work, his co- workers asked the Tampa Po- lice Department to conduct a wellness check. The officers discovered his body inside the home on December 12th.
