Kellogg Joins 130 Groups For ‘National Day Of Healing’
Yahoo Says
CARLSBAD, CA — With racial divisiveness rising in America’s urban, rural and suburban com- munities, today the W.K. Kel- logg Foundation (WKKF), together with more than 130 or- ganizations committed to the Truth, Racial Healing & Trans- formation (TRHT) enterprise, called for a National Day of Healing on January 17, 2017.
On that day, activities by com- munity, civic, government and corporate leaders will spur ef- forts to heal the wounds created by racial, ethnic and religious bias and build an equitable and just society so that all children can thrive.
As a nation, we must come to terms with the deep divides in our communities,” said WKKF President and CEO La June Montgomery Tabron.
Ms. Tabron said the Na- tional Day of Healing is a re- sponse to the broad call for

Dragged Off Flight By Police
A woman who was dragged off a Delta Air Lines flight by Detroit Metro Airport police on Monday had ignored boarding procedures and may face criminal charges, accord- ing to airport authorities.
A YouTube video shows of- ficers gathering around the unidentified woman, then physically pulling her off the morning flight from Detroit to San Diego, California. One of- ficer drags the Black woman, who appears silent and limp, down the aisle by her arms.
Airport police officers got in- volved after Delta requested assistance with a passenger “who would not comply with boarding and baggage check procedures” at the gate.
“When officers arrived, Delta Air Lines stated the woman could not remain on board.” Despite repeated re- quests by officers, the woman refused to leave the aircraft and had to be removed.” The woman was arrested and charges are pending, accord- ing to Brian Lassaline, a airport spokesperson. He wouldn’t elaborate, citing company policy to not discuss individual passenger informa- tion.
DeLambert said he re- ceived the video, which he called “rather disturbing,” from an unnamed passenger on the flight. It has since gone viral, receiving more than 500,000 views since Monday.
Another viral video recorded on a Delta flight last month put the airline under scrutiny for its handling of a disruptive passenger.

elect Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nom- inee Hillary Clinton before departure.
“Donald Trump, baby! We got some Hillary bitches on here?” the man says in a video recorded by the woman sitting next to him.
He was briefly removed from his seat, but was then al- lowed to fly, according to The New York Times. In a follow- up memo to employees, Delta CEO Ed Bastian said the man would be banned from the airline, and other passen- gers on the flight would re- ceive refunds for their tickets.
“The heightened tension in our society means that now more than ever we must re- quire civility on our planes and in our facilities,” Bastian wrote in the Nov. 28 memo.
On Twitter, some people criticized Delta’s treatment of the woman on the Detroit flight and compared it to the airline’s handling of the dis- ruptive Trump supporter.

In September, Yahoo admit- ted that 500 million of its ac- counts had been hacked in 2014, but now, a new revelation on Wednesday has shown an even bigger hacking problem, with 1 billion accounts being compro- mised in 2013.
The security problems plagu- ing Yahoo have apparently been going on for some time, as in 2012, 450,000 accounts were breached and spam attacks launched.
However, the company failed to take measures to step up its security, citing customer incon- venience as well as the cost of making such changes. Then, in 2013, 1 billion accounts were breached before the 2014 hack- ing attack.
The 2013 and 2014 attacks are the largest known security breaches of a single company’s network.

RUSSIAVILLE, IN -- Racism has a way of rearing its ugly head on social media, especially when screenshots are so simple to take. And now a high school student is asking for forgiveness after calling a Black cheerleader n–ger.
Tyler Tackett, a student at Western High School in Russi- aville, Ind., posted a Snapchat showing him, a fellow student and two cheerleaders. Appar- ently, Tackett felt some kind of way standing next to the Black cheerleader and called her the n-word.
Soon after the photo went viral, Rick Davis, the school’s principal denounced the image on Twitter and expressed disap- pointment.
There’s no word on the con- sequences that Tackett will face, but Tackett is sorry to everybody except the person he called the n-word.
Tackett’s racism will follow him forever because of search engine optimization and screen- shots.

“When I came in that day, it was just for me, a day to work and share the gospel and just to spread love around,” Jakeem told WISH, as he expressed awe at the support he’s been re- ceiving.
The teen says he plans to use the money to help pay for food and clothing for the homeless.

AVON, IN -- A GoFundMe campaign for one Indiana teen has gone viral after a supporter snapped a picture of him sport- ing a neck brace and a sling while still working the counter at an Avon, Ind., Chick-fil-A.
According to the New York Post, Jakeem Tyler, a stu- dent at Avon High School, was not expected to be working at his local Chick-fil-A last Thurs- day. Jakeem had gotten in- jured in a car accident a week earlier and was still wearing a neck brace and a sling. His em- ployers and co-workers en- couraged him to go back home.
However, the teen was deter- mined to continue working. One Indianapolis resident, Cameron Nelson, happened to go to the Avon Chick-fil-A and asked Jakeem what had happened.
Jakeem explained the acci- dent, but then said he needed the cash and also wanted to help the homeless this Christ- mas season.
The post has since been shared over 22,000 times. And the GoFundMe? Well, Nelson
