   MR. NATHANIEL ABDUS-SALAM
Mr. Nathaniel Abdus-Salam, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. Fu- neral services will be held Satur- day, September 25th at 9 a. m., in the Ray Williams Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Michael Price, offi- ciating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
Mr. Salam was a native and life-long resident of Tampa for 78 years. He was employed by Kirby Vacuum and Tampa Trib- une as a salesman.
Mr. Salam is preceded in death by: his father, Julius Atkinson, his mother, Genevieve Simms; and a brother, William “Bucky” Simms.
Leaving to cherish his mem- ories: his loving wife of 31 years, Norma; his children: Nathaniel “Sonny” Simms, Rachael Simms-Thompkins (Kim), Avery Simms, as well as “loving bonus” children: Adrian Judge and De- Andra Judge; his sister, Vernice Diggs (Tony); brother, Percy Simms (Darlene); cherished grandchildren: Kimberly Batton (Brandon) and Avery Thomp- kins; beloved aunt, Carmen Washington; nieces and nephews: Tracy Short-Lewis, William “Tony” Simms (Sophia), Shaheedra Johnson (Keesian), Saivon and Ziann Johnson, Khalil and Khalia Bradley, Michael Simms, Nikita Simms, Marcus President and Jonika Simms, and a host of cousins and friends; best friend, Harvey Smith.

MR. JOE BROWN
Funeral services for Mr. Joe Brown, who passed away Mon- day, September 6, 2021, will be conducted, Saturday, Septem- ber 25th at 11 a. m. at Bible- Based Fellowship Church, 4811 Ehrlich Road, Tampa, FL 33624. Pastor, Dr. Lenny R. Washington will officiate. Inter- ment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Brown was a native of Tampa, born to Robert Lee Brown and Ruby Girtman Brown. He was a resident of Tampa for 86 years. He gradu- ated from Middleton High School and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
After graduation, he en- listed and served in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years. He was employed with the City of Tampa Parks Depart- ment as a supervisor; he also retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Brown joined the Wood- land Terrace Neighborhood Watch. He was a faithful and loyal member for many years.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Mrs. Elouise Gaskin Brown; his daughters: Cynthia Brown, Pa- tricia Brown, and Ruby Brown; his grandsons: Byes A. Glymph (Shaunia) and Lamar (Trey) Gilbert; granddaughter: LaKeisha L. Buchanan; great, grandchildren: Nikerya Bryant, Adrianna Jones, Byes Glymph, II, Shaniyah Glymph; his sister, Theresa Washington; nieces: Octeon Floyd (Theodore) and Yvette Hemphill; nephews: Robert Lee Brown, III, Ran- dolph Carter (Geneva), Dr. Lenny R. Washington (Michelle), Darryl Washington (Paula), Adrian Maurice Wash- ington (Ptosha); cousin: Devon Ramsey (Calinne); sister-in- law, Cherry Hemphill; brother- in-law, Melvin Gaskin; special friends: Michael Richardson, Daryl Richardson, Levi (Ruth) Fleming, and a host of grand nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

MRS. OLA MAE CONNER
Mrs. Ola Mae Conner, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Friday, Sep- tember 10, 2021. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 26th at 12 P. M. in the Ray Williams Me- morial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, FL 33606, Apostle Donald Lott officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, on Tuesday, September 28th at 11A.M.
Mrs. Ola Mae Conner was born on October 31, 1943, in Dooling, Georgia to the late Sam Haugabook, Sr., and Mae Ella Oliver. Under the care of her aunt, Mary Marshall, she relocated to Tampa, Florida, at an early age, after the passing of her mother. She attended Booker T. Washington School of Tampa.
Mrs. Conner gave her life to God at an early age; she was a member of the Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. She was a God-fear- ing, praying, and family-oriented woman. She was also kind-hearted, loveable, and ever-so humble. She met and married Mr. Willie James Conner, Sr.
Mrs. Ola was previously em- ployed with Variety Shrimp Com- pany as well as Singleton Shrimp Company for many years. She and her husband owned and operated several successful businesses and taverns – Garrison, My Place, Lil Bruzs, Bop City and Broadway Bar. The businesses flourished until the death of Mr. Conner.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Willie J. Conner, Sr.; her daughter, Jacqueline Welch; her son, Achlious Conner; stepson, Lemorris Clinton; and grandsons: Aubrey Conner and Ernest Fisher, Jr.
She is survived by: her children: Willie J. Conner, Jr., Gwendolyn Fisher, Adren Conner, Sr., and Vickie Conner; son-in-law, Jospeh Welch, Sr.; grandchildren: Eric Con- ner, Antwan Conner, Chauncey Welch, Alvin Conner, Tijawanna Conner, Keith Jackson, Jr., Adrian Conner, Tasheria Denmark, Keon Jackson, Sr.; Gloria Clinton, Shan- theia Conner, Willie Conner, III, Derrick Denmark, Taquilla Wilson, Pearlesha Fisher, Ericka Rhodes, Shakeila Denmark, Elexys Rhodes, Joseph Welch, Jr., Candethia Den- mark, Elijah and Lakisha Rhodes, Adren Conner Jr., Porsche Harden and Asiah Conner; oldest great granddaughter Aubreyana Conner and 37 other great grandchildren, all of Tampa, FL, and three great great grandchildren.
She also leaves: her brother, Sam (Ora) Haugubook, Jr., and sis- ter, Mary (Maurice) McDonald, all of Dooling, GA, Martha Palmer of Or- lando, FL; sister-in-law, Loretta Con- ner of Charlotte, NC; uncle, Abraham (Johnnie) Conner of Leesburg, FL, as well as devoted friends: Helen Thomas, Pamela Jackson, Rose Jor- dan, and Dorothy Peterson, along with a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews and loving family and friends.
Public visitation will be held Sat- urday, September 25, 2021, from 4 p. m. until 7 p. m. at the Ray Williams Funeral Home. MASKS ARE RE- QUIRED.

MR. LENTON L. CHAMBERS
Mr. Lenton L. Chambers of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. His fu- neral service will be held, Saturday, September 25th at 2 p. m., at Ray Williams Funeral Home Chapel, 301 N. Howard Ave, Tampa, FL 33606. Interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Chambers was a native of Adel, Georgia, and a resident of Tampa for 60 plus years. He at- tended the public schools of Hills- borough County. Mr. Chambers was a member of Church of Christ. He was a specialized auto techni- cian.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Herman Chambers, Sr., and Lorene Chambers.
He leaves to cherish his memo- ries, his wife, Henrietta (Cynthia) Chambers; his children: Lenton Chambers, Jr., Leonard Chambers, Twanda (Willie) Bivens, Alexis Bivens, LaDonte Bivens, Jerome Hamilton; siblings: Herman Cham- bers, Jr., Sheriann Chambers, Charles Chambers, Ricky Cham- bers and James Chambers as well as his goddaughter, Shawn King, and a host of other family and friends, to include aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and loving grand- children.
Public visitation will be Friday, September 24, 2021, from 4pm until 7pm at Ray Williams Funeral Home.

MR. STEADMAN IZET McHAYLE
Mr. Steadman Izet McHayle, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021. Funeral services will be held Sat- urday, September 25, 2021, at 3 p. m. at Greater Mount Carmel AME Church. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. McHayle was a native of Westmorland, “Big Woods,” Ja- maica; he was a resident of Tampa for 48 years. He was a faithful member of Greater Mt. Carmel AME Church. He was employed by the City of Tampa in the Public Works Department for 35 years, retiring in 2009.
Mr. Steadman lived a hearty life; he will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 42 years, Millicent McHayle; seven daugh- ters; two sons; three brothers and one sister; 16 grand, and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of sorrowing friends and family.
The public viewing will be Thursday, September 23rd from 4p.m.until7p.m.,atRay Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave, Tampa, FL 33606. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
