FIRST ANNUAL WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT HELD
On Saturday, August 29th, the First Annual Women’s Empowerment Summit was held at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. The theme for the summit was, “Love Yourself To Life.” The summit was designed to increase awareness, moti- vate, educate, and empower women. The event was sponsored by Elder Dominic and Mrs. Paula Watkins, and was presented free for teenagers and women of the community. More than two hundred were on hand to listen to guest speakers, give- aways, entertainment, and food. Among those on hand for the event were from left to right: Minister Erica Herrington, Tampa Bay Tammy, Netrice Wingfield, Dr. Katurah Jenkins-Hall, Paula Stephens-Watkins, Katie Brinson, Inetta Stephens, and Layesha Walton.
