Members of a youth aux- iliary of the Tampa chapter of a national sorority arrived last week at the organiza- tion’s biennial meeting vir- tual unknowns and departed with bragging rights.
The Rosebuds of the Delta Delta chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc., are now well-known within the group after Mirykle Twillie, 9, and Winter Allen, 9, were elected Rosebud president and vice-president respec- tively and member Adrian Jones, 13, placed third in the International Rosebud competition while at the meeting, also known as the Boule’.
Other Rosebuds who at- tended the meeting in Los Angeles include: Anttiniya White, 12, and Keiondra Jackson, 10.

at the chance to be the leader of the Rosebuds.

Mirykle and Winter delivered “outstanding” elec- tion speeches, said Amy Fil- more, the sorority’s Supreme 3rd Anti-Basileus and director of the youth auxiliary programs.
“They were quite impres- sive,” she said, “I expect them to go to the top.”

Three of the girls that at- tended the conference are residents of Tampa Park Apartments, where Ms. An- thony is manager. The Tampa Park Board members helped finance the trip for the girls.
Trips to the zoo, perform- ing at the senior citizens home, and making friends are some of the highlights of being a Rosebud, Adrian said.
“It’s really fun because you can experience a lot of things,” she said.
