Nick Cannon And Chilli Are A Couple?
‘No Easy Sunday Morning’: Judge Rules Against Commodore Member Over Rights To Use Name
Nick Cannon and TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas are getting closer.
A source tells us pretty R&B crooner Chilli is smitten and that they’ve already met each other’s families.
“They’ve been seeing each other for about two months. “She really likes him and they’re spending a lot of time together. She’s beaming all the time. She’s met his friends and family. Everyone approves.”
The source added, “She’s going to be at [Cannon’s show] ‘America’s Got Talent’ with his mom [Tuesday night].”
Cannon has even started letting Chilli braid his hair.
Cannon was flattered by initial rumors he was dating the singer. “I would be so lucky to be able to be called ‘dating’ her. This is all new to me. I’m

not ready for titles and all that stuff,” he’s reportedly said.
Cannon — who still hasn’t finalized his divorce from Mariah Carey, who’s en- gaged herself to billionaire James Packer — added, “I’m damaged goods! Who would want to date me?”
The 1970s group, The Commodores Members suing each other are seated on the front row: William King and Walter Orange against Thomas McClary. The other band members were: Milan Williams, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Gilbert, Andre Callaghan and Lionel Richie.

It’s sad when a group breaks up. It’s heartwrenching when they sue each other to be who they once were. This is the case of The Commodores.
First, a founding member of The Commodores sued two former bandmates, claiming they are using Commodores Entertainment for their own financial gain at the com- pany's peril.
Thomas McClary filed a derivative complaint against Commodores Entertainment Corp., William A. King and Walter Orange, in Clark County Court in 2013.
McClary says the six orig- inal members of The Com- modores created Commodores Entertainment in 1978 with each owning an equal share.
His co-plaintiff Jason Williams is the son of late Commodores member Milan Williams, and owns one-twelfth of the corpora-
tion.
Commodores Entertain-
ment Corp. filed its own law- suit against McClary in 2014 to block him from using The Commodores name as well as marks in performances and marketing materials.
And, a federal judge ruled last week against McClary .
The four-day trial revealed the history and business work- ings of the renowned Grammy award winning musical group with testimony from its most famous member, Lionel Richie.
U. S. District Judge Roy B. Dalton Jr. ruled last Thurs- day against McClary, the guitarist who was one of the original members of The Commodores in favor of two other original members.
Judge Dalton said the ownership rights belonged to Commodores Entertainment Group, which is now com- prised of trumpet player,
William King and drummer, Walter Orange.
The issue in the case was “who owns The Com- modores trademark and who can call themselves The Commodores.
Judge Dalton had split the case into parts. The first focused on the ownership while the second half will de- termine infringement claims and damages.
McClary’s lawyer, Beryl Thompson-McClary said they will appeal.
McClary also has coun- terclaims of more than $1 mil- lion in damages from lost earnings, she said.
King and Orange, along with McClary of Orlando, Milan Williams, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Gilbert, Andre Callaghan and Li- onel Ritchie, were among the early members of the fa- mous group. It’s sad...
Ray J is heading down the aisle next week and he’s en- listed the help of two famous singers to make his big day special.
Ray J, 35, has tapped his Grammy award-winning sister Brandy (who will also be a bridesmaid) to sing “At Last” during his and fiancée Princess Love’s first dance, TMZ reports.
The singer, who made an in- famous sex tape with Kim Kardashian in 2003, also
asked soul singer Anthony Hamilton to perform “The Point of It All” while Princess walks down the aisle to the altar.
The couple, who both starred on “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood,” have had a rocky past. In a February interview with Steve Harvey, Ray J apologized to Princess for cheating in the past.
Ray J and Princess got en- gaged in 2015, but didn’t pub- licly confirm their engagement until January.
