Man In Police Involved Shooting Identified
   Of Robbing
Search For Bank Robbery Suspect
Bank Arrested
Police have identified the man fatally wounded on Christmas Eve. The incident took place at 1204 W. Risk Street, in Plant City.
The Plant City Police De- partment said the officer-in- volved fatal shooting occurred at the the Cynthia Gardens Apartments. Officers re- sponded in reference to a per- son who had possibly shot himself.
When they arrived, one of the officers observed a white male subject walking away from a vehicle with the door ajar and asked the male to stop and identify himself.
The officer observed the man holding an unknown ob- ject in his hand. The officer asked the subject to identify what he was holding. The sub- ject began to back away from the officer, still continuing to ignore the officer’s commands
to identify what he was hold- ing.
After several moments, the subject eventually responded that he was holding a gun. At this point, the officer fearing for his personal safety due to the subject’s statement, drew his service weapon on the sub- ject and ordered the man to drop the gun.
The subject put the gun to his chest and fired a single round. While placing the gun to his chest, the subject was in very close proximity to another officer also on scene as backup. Fearing for the personal safety of the backup officer, the pri- mary officer fired two rounds from his service weapon at the man.
The man died at the scene. He has been identified as Kaleb Anthony Pedone, 20, of Plant City. The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
 A 23-year-old Tampa man was arrested in connection with a bank robbery. The crime took place last Saturday morning.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 9 a.m., a Black man entered the Wells Fargo Bank, 8902 Regents Park Drive. The man reportedly handed the teller a note and obtained cash. He fled the scene on foot.
Deputies arrived and traced him to a nearby apart- ment complex where he had reportedlyeft the area on a mo- torcycle. Several units were dispatched to the area, includ- ing air service and K-9 units.

Deputies conducted a traf- fic stop on U. S. Highway 301, just north of Dr. M. L. King, Jr., Blvd.
The driver of the motorcy- cle, identified as Jamanie Seiforth, was taken into cus- tody and charged with robbery while wearing a mask,and grand theft.
BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT
Police are currently search- ing for a bank robbery suspect. The robbery occurred last Fri- day morning.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 9 a.m., the man cir- cled the parking lot of the Cen- ter State Bank, 10101 Bloomingdale Avenue. He then entered the bank and de- manded cash. Although no weapon was seen, the suspect implied he had a gun.

He obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

 Tampa Police are currently searching for a man who at- tempted to rob a business last month.
The incident took place on November 19th.
According to police, the unidentified suspect entered the National Liquor Store, 3401 N. 50th Street, and pointed a handgun at the employees. He demanded money.
But instead of receiving the cash, the sus- pect was con- fronted by one of the employ- ees.
ROBBERY He turned SUSPECT and fled the scene. There were no injuries and the inves-
tigation is continuing.
Church Service
 Police launched an investi- gation Christmas Eve into a double-murder suicide. The shooting resulted in two chil- dren having lost both of their parents.
According to the Lakeland Police Department, when they arrived at the home on Atlanta Avenue, they discovered the bodies of three adults and four children under the age of 10 who were in the home when the shooting took place. None of the children were injured.
During the investigation, police learned Leighton Josephs, 30, was armed with a handgun when he entered the home. It is believed that Josephs shot 27-year-old Chris Pine and 30-year-old Rachel Ramsey before tak- ing his own life.
Ms. Ramsey’s daughters are 5 and 7 years old. Pine was the single father of a son and

daughter, ages 4 and 6.
In a press release, police
stated that Josephs and Ms. Ramsey had been involved in a long-term relationship and were the parents of two chil- dren. Over the past months, their relationship had become strained.
Police further said that Pine was a friend of Ms. Ramsey. He had come to the home with his two children. They had planned to attend church services later that evening.
