In his remarkable first novel, the best-selling Rules of Civility (2011), Towles etched 1930s New York in crystalline relief. Though set a world away in Moscow over the course of three decades, his latest polished liter- ary foray into a bygone era is just as impressive about a man who is ordered to spend the rest of his life inside a luxury hotel. XZAIVEOUS SCOTT ... Still at large
HOME INVASION SUSPECTS
According to police,
last Friday, two un- known, armed men forced their way into a home on Starlight Pointe Drive in Mulberry. Once inside, the men put the residents on the ground at gunpoint and ran- sacked the home before flee- ing the scene.
While investigating the home invasion, police said they discovered heroin, co- caine, and drug parapherna- lia inside the home.
Ms. Laymeshia Hicks,
25, surrendered to police Monday evening. Ms. Hicks, who had been an em-
