This week, Vamp will carry us into the Holiday weekend as our Spotlight feature. This energetic young lady has set her sights on a future that will keep her in front of the cameras. Women Invited To Share Their Experiences On Saturday
Rev. Marcia Miller, of Love of Christ AME Zion Church invites the commu- nity to join her and others on Saturday, November 30, 2019, as they study the “Tes- tament of Ruth and Naomi.”
The Symposium will be held at the Robert W. Saun- ders Public Library, 1505 N. Nebraska Ave., 10 a. m. – 2 p. m.
“It's important that we share our experiences with other people. Your story will heal you and your story will heal somebody else. When
you tell your story, you free yourself and give other peo- ple permission to acknowl- edge their own story.” Iyanla Vanzant
“We have been told by many great women, men and even on social media of the need to share our stories,” Rev. Miller said. “I invite you to come out on Saturday, November 30th, from 10 AM till 2 PM and inspire and be inspired to hold on, by re- counting our story and How We Got Over.”
The Tampa District of the
AME Zion Church, Senior Ministry is attempting to en- courage women through the testimonies of women like Ruth, 30 to 40 years of age and Naomi’s 55 plus. “If you have gone through any- thing in your life that will help somebody, share it, re- lease it and run on. We hope to see you there, bring some- one with you, Rev. Miller said.

Health Department To Offer HIV
And STD Testing
The Hillsborough County Health Department will offer free HIV and STD test- ing. Free flu and hepatitis A shots will also be offered to adults. “The Rock the Rib- bon Together,” event will take place Monday, Decem- ber 2nd, from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the Specialty Care Clinic, 1105 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, 33602, and the University Area Health Center, 13601 N. 22nd Street, Tampa, 33613.
