WILSON
MR. DEZZIE B. CALLAWAY
A Private Service will be held for Mr. Dezzie B. Callaway, who passed away on September 27, 2020.
Mr. Dezzie B. Callaway was born on February 10, 1926 in Lumpkin, Georgia to the parentage of Cleve and Eliza- beth Callaway as an only child. He later moved to Tampa, Florida and resided for over 60 years. He was a long time resi- dent of The Progress Village Community, since the early 60’s.
Mr. Callaway was employed with The Canada Dry Bottling Company for over 35 years prior to his retirement.
Mr. Callaway was preceded in death by: his parents, Cleve and Elizabeth Callaway; his wife, Ruth Callaway; son, Leon Williams; 6 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers- in-law.
Mr. Callaway leaves to cher- ish loving memories with: 2 sons, Larry and Gerald Call- away; 3 daughters, Carolyn Brooks (William), Linda Barr and Cassandra Reed (Curtis); 6 grandchildren,
Valrecyia Edwards, Tonya Barr, Matthew Williams, Nicole Williams, Richard Barr, Jr. and Jasmine Cox; 10 great- grand- children; 6 great-great grand- children; 1st cousin, Shirley Callaway Fields of Austell, GA; 3 nieces, Ann Williams, Betty Collins and special niece, Mar- garet Troupe; nephew, Kenneth Williams; the entire Troupe family and a host of other sor- rowing relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Wil- son Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, from 3 – 8 p. m. Due to the current CDC restrictions, we are asking that you use the visitation as an op- portunity to pay your final re- spects. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.

“Mother Dear”, as she was af- fectionately called, will forever be cherished with memories from the many family celebrations that she always enjoyed being a part of. Her beautiful spirit filled any room she walked into, especially if family was around. “Mother Dear” truly lived up to her name with the love she shared with the babies and kids that she played a role in bringing up.
Esther was preceded in death by: her loving parents, William and Mary Hunter; brothers, Eddie Hunter, William Hunter and Israel Hunter; son, Bruce Hunter.
Memories of Willie Esther Hunter Griffin will be cherished forever, and her legacy will live on through: her children, Mary Linda Jenkins (Gus), Lillian Grif- fin and (Walter White), Billie Allen (Michael), Pamela Brown (Israel) and Robin Fitts (Carl, Jr.); a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Juanita Hunter, Thomas Earl Hunter and Ronnie Hunter; nieces, nephews and loved ones throughout Tampa, Clearwater, Florida and Marianna, GA. Es- ther loved each and every one dearly. She will be dearly missed.
A viewing will be held Friday, October 2, 2020, from 3 – 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th St., Tampa, FL. MR. SAMUEL LEE HOOKS
Graveside services for Samuel Lee Hooks, who transi- tioned from this earthly life into his Heavenly home on Septem- ber 23, 2020, will be held Fri- day, October 2, 2020, at 2 p. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Av- enue Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Samuel Lee Hooks was born October 27, 1935, in Tip- tonville, Georgia to the parent- age of Otha B. and Zettie Hooks. He was raised in Vienna, Geor- gia, attending public schools of Dooly County and later graduat- ing from Vienna High School.
He was a Heavy Equipment
Operator, retiring from Kim- mins Corporation. He was a faithful member of River Hills Church of God.
Mr. Hooks was preceded in death by: his parents, Otha B. and Zettie Hooks; sisters, Doris Stevens and Ruth Christopher; brother, Robert Hooks; son, Terry; and wife of 32 years, Narcis Hall-Hooks.
Left to cherish memories of him are: his children, Samuel, Felicia, Cammilla, Vanessa, Ed- ward, Clifton, Beverly, Jacque- lyn, Brenda, Theresa, Christina and Nathaniel; a host of grand- children and great grandchil- dren; sisters, Hattie Hooks and Leatha Beckham; brother, Apostle Otha B. Lockett; many nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters-in- law, Frances Hooks, Andretha Hall-Reeves, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Fri- day, October 2, 2020 from 10 a. m. – 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.
We are asking family and friends to follow CDC guide- lines. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.

A Private Service will be held for Ms. Willie Esther “Mother Dear” Hunter Griffin.It is with great sadness that the family of Ms. Willie Esther “Mother Dear” Hunter Griffin announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Friday, September 25, 2020, at the age of 85.
Ms. Willie Esther Hunter Griffin was born December 7, 1934 in Midland, Alabama. She was the daughter of William and Mary Hunter.
Esther leaves behind a legacy filled with kindness and love.
She began her career proudly serving the Tampa Bay Commu- nity as a Social Worker with the Tampa Housing Authority. She touched the lives of many fami- lies who praised her efforts in going over and beyond to meet their needs. After many years of giving her all to those in need, she moved on to Kash ‘N Karry

Time has taken your body, but a part opf you remains. Deep in- side I feel it, whispering your name. Days turn into months, and months turn into years. But time cannot take you from me as I al- ways sense you near.
You will never be forgotten as your love lives on in me. And I will carry it with me until we meet again in eternity.
