Crime
Detectives are currently investigating four shootings that took place Sunday night. In the aftermath, one person died and two others were in- jured.
First Shooting
According to the Tampa Police Department, at ap- proximately 7:50 p.m., offi- cers arrived at the intersection of Powhattan Av- enue and N. 20th Street in ref- erence to a shooting. When the officers arrived, they dis- covered the two men had been injured by gunfire.
One of the victims was suf- fering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers adminis- tered first aid on the scene. However, the 20-year-old man died as a result of his in- juries. The second victim, a 19-year-old man, was struck in the leg. He is expected to survive his injury.
The victim has been iden- tified on Facebook as Jalen Puryear, who lived in West Tampa.

Second Shooting
In the second shooting, of- ficers were dispatched to the 2500 block of E. Hillsborough Avenue in reference to shots being fired. When the officers arrived, they located shell cas- ings at the entrance of the plaza, but did not find anyone injured.

verted to N. 43 Street,
between E. Idlewild and E. Clifton. The investigating offi- cers reported that several ve- hicles had been struck by gunfire and they located sev- eral shell casings. However,
they did not locate a victim. Shortly before 11 p.m., of- ficers responded to reports of a man being shot while in the 3200 block of E. Hanna Av- enue. When the officers ar- rived, they discovered that a man was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower
back.
A witness to the shooting
told police that the suspects drove by in a dark sedan and fired several shots out of the vehicle.
The victim was trans- ported to a local hospital, where he is expected to re- cover from his injuries.
Tampa Police are investi- gating a shooting that took place in the 8200 block of N. 13th Street. It took place last Thursday night.
According to police, offi- cers were sent to the location in reference to a man being shot. When they arrived, they found a 53-year-old victim suffering from a single gun- shot wound. The man was transported to Tampa General Hospital by Tampa Fire Res- cue. He later died as a result of
his injuries.
Detectives said it did not
appear to be a random act of violence. Information gath- ered during the investigation suggests that the suspects were two Hispanic men. No additional information was re- leased.

   Detectives are continuing to conduct investigations to determine if the four shoot- ings are related. Police have not released any additional information and the investi- gation is continuing.

In Solving Murder
Family Seeks Help
The family of a 31-year-old man and law enforcement are asking for help from the com- munity. The young man died on September 24th.
According to Tampa Po- lice, officers responded to 1916 E. Columbus Drive. When they arrived at the scene, the officers discovered the body of Jared Asa Semp. His death is being in- vestigated as a murder.
Police have not released any additional information about the death. However, they are asking anyone with information that may help solve the case to contact
