Two Men Charged In Road Rage Incident
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men following tw0 road rage incidents. Both are facing several charges.
According to police, on September 14th, around 6:30 p.m., a man was driving in the Wimauma area when a suspect pulled up to him in a gold, 4-door sedan. The vic- tim told police the man asked if he was “revving your en- gine at me?”
The victim said he said no, but the suspect followed him in his vehicle. There was a second individual in the ve- hicle at the time.
The victim then observed the passenger in the vehicle pass a firearm to the driver. The driver fired two shots at the victim, then drove past him.
Two days later, around the same time, the same vic- tim was traveling in the Ruskin area. He observed the same vehicle and same sus-

Man Gets 6 Years For Possession Of Firearm
FLOYD C. RIVERS
School Security Officer Charged
A federal judge has handed down a prison sentence to a Tampa man. He pleaded guilty on June 25, 2020.
With Child Abuse
U. S. District Judge Mary S. Scriven sentenced 34-year- old Floyd C. Rivers to six years and five months in fed- eral prison for possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. The court also ordered Rivers to forfeit the firearm and ammunition used in the offense.
According to court docu- ments, on October 22, 2018, of- ficers with the Tampa Police Department were looking for Rivers in West Tampa to take him into custody on outstand- ing warrants. When the officers located and approached Rivers, he fled, throwing a bag over a nearby fence as he ran.
The officers eventually ap- prehended Rivers and recov- ered a loaded pistol from the discarded bag.
Rivers has several prior convictions for narcotics-re- lated felonies and is therefore prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition. This was his second conviction of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A Hillsborough County School Security officer is ac- cused of abusing a 9-year-old child with autism. The inci- dent took place at Knights El- ementary School, in Plant City.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, last Wednesday, teachers at the school contacted police after allegedly observing 57- year-old Michael Lash- man, a school security officer, become violent with the child.
Prior to the incident, the child had reportedly become verbally disruptive. However, the teachers were able to calm him. Lashman became aware of the incident and con- fronted the student.
Witnesses told police that Lashman aggressively re- strained the child and pulled him into the building. At that
