   Tampa Native To Graduate From West Point

On Saturday, June 13th, the U. S. Academy at West Point held its grad- uation. The ceremony was held at the academy in West Point, NY.
One of the young adults graduat- ing is Tampa native, Cadet Bran- don Johnson. While at West Point, Cadet Johnson concentrated on Bu.siness Management. He was com- missioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U. S. Army within the Field Ar- tillery Branch. He will report to his first assignment at Fort Bliss, Texas.
Cadet Johnson is the son of Henry and Amy Johnson of Tampa. He graduated from Stein- brenner High School, in 2015, and is an Alumnus of the Men of Vision, Inc., Service Club.
The U. S. Military Academy at West Point is a four-year, co-educa- tional, federal, liberal arts college, lo-
cated 50 miles north of New York City.
It was founded in 1802 as Amer- ica's first college of engineering and continues to serve as the world's pre- mier leader-development institution, consistently ranked among top col- leges in the country. Its mission is to
educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the nation as an officer in the U. S. Army.
