University Area CDC Offers Online Programming As In-Person Programs And Properties Close
To protect the health and safety of community members and staff, Univer- sity Area CDC facilities and properties will be closed through August 9. This includes the University Area Community Center Complex, Computer Lab, Mort Park and Harvest Hope Park. All program- ming, including Dream- catchers summer camps, has been suspended through this time.
Realizing the impor- tance that University Area CDC programs play in the
lives of many of the area’s residents, the organization has developed, and contin- ues to develop, online classes and videos to help ease the burden through this uncertain time.
Prodigy® Cultural Arts Program instructors have developed more than 40 video tutorials on the fol- lowing topics: life skills, painting, drawing, dancing, bass guitar, the shaker and more. They are all available at uacdc.org/prodigyon- line.
University Area CDC
has also developed numer- ous Get Moving! exercise videos in the areas of body sculpting, yoga, nutrition for children and dancing for senior citizens and more, free for the public, posted here: https://www.youtube.com /playlist?list=PLA8uF- WOeyZhShvrfB7wcrKf6Bt XHG4SUX.
