Rihanna’s long-awaited eighth album Anti, which dropped last week, is headed for a No. 1 position on the Bill- board 200. Her current single “Work” is No. 9 on the Bill- board Hot 100. Also scheduled to appear will be Kendrick Lamar who was nominated for 11 Grammys, The Weeknd and Lady Gaga.

Kendrick Lamar Set To Induct N.W.A. Into R&R Hall Of Fame
Beyonce broke the In- ternet with a brand-new sin- gle and music video she unexpectedly gifted to fans one day before her Super Bowl performance.
The raspy, gritty “Forma- tion,” released without fan- fare Saturday afternoon on both Jay Z’s Tidal stream- ing service and Beyonce’s YouTube account, features flawless choreography, a hook that loops the phrase “I slay,” and dancing cameos from the megastar couple’s 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
The video contains not- so-subtle imagery from the Black Lives Matter move- ment — including Beyonce singing from atop a floodwa- ter-submerged New Orleans cop car, a young black boy and riot gear-clad police mu- tually surrendering with their hands up, and graffiti that reads “Stop Shooting Us.”
Tidal also announced Fri- day that it would donate $1.5 million from its October charity concert to Black Lives Matter and other social justice organizations.
Kendrick Lamar is set to induct Compton-based rap group N.W.A. into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
The induction ceremony is set for April 8th at Brook- lyn’s Barclays Center. Satur- day, the Hall of Fame revealed the special guests that would present the hon- ors to the inductee. They in- cluded The Black Keys, Rob Thomas, Lars Ulrich of Metallica and Kendrick Lamar.

The Hall of Fame didn’t specifically cite Kendrick as a presenter, but insiders are assuming it to be the case.
Although the NWA Biopic Straight Outta Comp- ton wasn’t accepted by the Oscars, it received two awards Saturday night.
The critically acclaimed film earned an NAACP Image award for “Oustanding Film.” O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of Ice Cube and the actor portraying the leg- endary rapper in SOC, also won an Image Award for
Cast of ‘Straight Out Of Compton. Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., 2nd from left, also won an award.

‘Orange Is The New Black’ Gets 3 More Seasons
Maurice
founder of the musically magical Earth, Wind & Fire.
The music world has lost one of their brightest talents.
After a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, Maurice White, the founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, White, 74, died at home in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Maurice was di- agnosed with Parkinson’s in 1992, but his condition deterio- rated in recent months.
His brother Verdine White (who’s also in the group) told The Associated Press, “My brother, hero and best friend Maurice White passed away peacefully last night in his sleep.’’
Due to his worsening condi- tion, White hadn’t toured with the band since 1994, but he re- mained active behind the scenes making decisions re- garding the group. He wrote and produced for other artists such as Barbara Streisand, Cher, as well as the Emo- tions’ No. 1 hit “Best of My Love.”
Earth, Wind & Fire sold over 90 million albums world- wide, and have huge hits such as “September,” “Let’s Groove,” “Shining Star,” “Sing A Song,” “Reasons,” and many more. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2000.
The ladies of Litchfield are getting an extended sentence. “Orange Is the New Black” has been renewed for three more seasons, Netflix announced Friday — an un- precedented commitment to the streaming giant’s MVP
show.
Creator and executive pro-
ducer Jenji Kohan has also signed on for seasons 5, 6 and 7 of the prison comedy- drama, which airs its fourth season June 17.
