Sold Out Theaters For ‘The House Next Door: Meet The Blacks 2’ Is Worth Going To See For Laughs
Vin Diesel Says 'Fast And Furious' Saga Planning An Ending; Opens Thursday In IMAX And Theaters
All in all- this movie will bring some laughs and have you jumping. A Must see to get out of the house. Mike Epps'/ Katt Williams and Hidden Empire Film Group’s comedy/horror romp The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2 scared up a $1.064M opening weekend (per screen average of $2,533) with writer-director Deon Tay- lor and his team huddling right now over where and how much to expand the run — but expand it they will.
Taylor’s thrilled with the $$ although he and others in the indie space acknowledged Sunday that ongoing distanc- ing restrictions in key New York and LA is a major bum-

“We felt that the most this
weekend, because we sold out
theaters. People couldn’t see it. They had to come back later, or the next day,” Tay- lor told Deadline. The film needed more capacity. “That’s the very next thing that we have to figure out – how to fill up the theaters.”
Sold-out shows were testa- ment the movie’s “core audi- ence that never gets films served to them,” he said. Hid- den Empire oversaw a highly- targeted rollout and marketing push to a Black demo for the film with Epps as Carl Black facing off with a neighbor from hell (Katt Williams), a pimp who may also be a vampire. It’s a fol- low on Meet The Blacks from 2016.
Vin Diesel sent the enter- tainment-news cycle into over- drive last week with his revelation that the next two in- stallments of the Fast and Furi- ous franchise — let’s call them Fas10 and Furious 11 — will pull the emergency brake once and for all on the 20-year-old, $5.4- billion-grossing hot-rod saga. Moreover, according to long- time F&F director Justin Lin, Diesel himself was actually the one behind the decision to shut it all down. The blockbuster film opens Thursday in theaters. This film should be able to get fans back to the theaters.
With the last franchise off- ramp approaching quickly, the long-awaited F9 takes a radical new direction. Jakob, a hereto- fore unknown brother of Dom (played by John Cena), emerges from the underworld to
attempt to commandeer a fear- some weapon capable of re- drawing the global balance of power. Cena's character is a deadly assassin/master thief/high-performance driver — and bears no racial resem- blance to Diesel whatsoever — only complicates matters.
Along with Diesel, the action films will feature Michelle Ro- driguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, and Jordana Brewster.
Last year, Universal pushed back the release of “F9” due to the coronavirus outbreak. The new film not only brings back a fan favorite — Sung Kang’s Han — along with new addi- tions including John Cena, but the story will also literally send a car into space. It’s expected to be one of the season’s biggest hits.
Monica's Second Surgery For Her Endometriosis Was 'Very Hard' And She Ended Up Having Multiple Blood Transfusions
After opening up around two weeks ago about having to undergo a second surgery in order to “address her en- dometriosis,” Monica re- cently shared details regarding the severity of the recent procedure and the dif- ficult realities those living with the disorder face.
While speaking as a guest on the Daily Blast Live, the singer candidly shared that she was actually unfamiliar with endometriosis before being diagnosed with it sev- eral years ago. As a gynecol- ogical condition wherein which one’s endometrium
“affects an estimated 2 to 10 percent of American women between the ages of 25 and 40.”
“Well,” Monica stated be- fore reflecting on the en- dometriosis’ symptoms “I had never heard of it [until] just four years ago when I was diagnosed. Endometrio- sis is extremely painful and women, monthly, feel like suffering is a part of the deal. But you find out — when you learn about endometriosis — that we shouldn’t be in excru- ciating pain and you learn that every age can suffer from endometriosis.”

Whether fondly or infa- mously remembered, earlier today (June 8) Tyler Perry announced that his well- known female matriarch — the character of “Madea” — would be returning to the big screen. Set to be released via Netflix at some point in 2022, the character’s 12th movie will be titled, A Madea Homecom- ing.
As you may recall, back in 2018 Perry declared that 2019’s A Madea Family Fu- neral would be the last time he reprised the role. Fully named Mabel Earleane Simmons, “Madea” made her debut all

As of now, recent reports
didn’t specify any details re- garding what the plot of A Madea Homecoming will en- tail. That said, on his Insta- gram account Perry shared a video where he cheerfully stated and explained, “Madea’s coming to Netflix. We need to laugh — too much is going on in the country. We need to laugh so... I was done, but she’s coming back.”
Funnily, interjecting throughout Perry’s short an- nouncement, Madea is also “heard.” She mentioned being excited about her comeback — and later, “To hell with it — here I am!”
