The homegoing celebration of Mrs. Alease Floyd Lindsay Washington will be held on December 5, 2015, at Mt. Olive AME Church, where the Rev. Gregory Gay, Sr. is Pastor.
Following the entombment of the body, we will have a repast and would like to show a PowerPoint video of her life.
During her lifespan, she touched the lives of many people. Mrs. Washington was owner/operator of several daycare centers, lo- cated in the Hyde Park area. She taught many years at the Carver Elementary School Head Start Center located in West Tampa.
As an accomplished musician (piano and organ), she provided instruction for many
children, youths, adults, church choirs and musical groups.
If you have any pictures, clippings, art and crafts that you would like to share, depicting your life with Mrs. Washington, please allow the family to use them in the Power- Point presentation (all materials will be re- turned to the owners).

Valet Driver Critical After Accident With Police Cruiser
Tampa Police report that at 4:48 a. m. Saturday, two officers were riding together in a marked police car traveling south on 30th Street. A red Mazda, driven by a valet for Dunn’s River, made an improper left turn into the path of the marked police unit while trying to pull into the parking lot of Dunn’s River, 11154 North 30th Street.
The officer driving the cruiser tried to stop, but was unable to do so and struck the passenger side of the vehicle. The officers were transported to the hospital, and the valet driver is reported to be hospitalized in critical condition with a skull fracture.
Officials said later that night the valet was still critical, but showing signs of improvement. The officers were treated and released.
The names of the officers and the valet driver were not released.
Motorcyclist Dies in Traffic Accident
A 48-year-old Tampa motorcyclist died after being involved in a traffic accident. The accident took place Tuesday night on Gunn Highway near Case Road.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Kelvin I. Garay was operating his 2014 Yamaha motorcycle around 8 p.m. He was traveling westbound on Gunn Highway. Police said Ms. Claudia Burgos, 41, was attempting to turn into a driveway when she entered the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the 2011 Nissan Rogue and Garay was ejected from the motorcycle. He died at the scene.
Ms. Burgos and her two passengers, 8-year-old Adrianna Burgos, and 13-year-old Na- talia Burgos were all transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with minor injuries. No charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing.
