DARRYL WILLIAMS .....charged with murdering the mother of his children on Halloween.
On October 31st, a man ap- proached Ms. Tiffany James, 35, around 11 p. m. Ms. James and her twin daughters were outside the apartment complex in Bran- don where they lived.
Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office investigators said the man did not say a word, and shot her twice before flee- ing on foot. She died from her injuries.
Early during the investiga- tion, detectives identified Darryl Eugene Williams, 49, as a person they wanted to talk to. However, Williams refused and hired prominent Tampa Attorney Norman Canella.
Detectives were able to de- velop sufficient information to secure an arrest warrant for Williams on a charge of first- degree murder.
At 7:30 p. m. Tuesday, Williams was arrested at his job in Riverview without inci- dent. He is currently being held in jail without bond.
Detectives said Williams and James have children in common, and lived together in the past.
Tiffany’s mother, Ros- alyn James said, “HAL- LELUJAH,” when she got the news Williams had been charged with her daughter’s murder.
“Because he hired an attor- ney so quickly, he was able to

stay out of the way for a little while.
“We’ve also been told that the person who drove him over there may also be looking at some charges.”
Ms. James said the family is in a better place now.
“We’re less frustrated now, and we all thank God. Now, it’s time to get prepared for the trial.
“We really haven’t been contacted by any relatives of Darryl. Things had been a lit- tle tense for a while, because we’re trying to focus on the welfare of the twins. They are 7 and going through therapy. They are finally beginning to talk.”
Ms. James said Tiffany was really missed this past Thanksgiving, because her mac and cheese was every- one’s favorite.
“I’ll say this about my daughter. She was never on time for anything, and that’s why some of us hated riding with her to go some place.
“She would always tell me that driving is like putting on makeup. You have to make sure it’s done right. We’ve been cleaning out her apart- ment, and all of her belongings have been dispersed to the family.”
Ms. James said they are all ready for the trial to get started, and they expect some kind of trickery from Williams.
Semi-Truck Involved In Seven Vehicle Crash Near Fowler
This semitrailer Saturday caused a big pile up on I-275 near fowler.
On Saturday afternoon, Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that no serious injuries were reported when a semitrailer driver didn’t notice the traffic ahead of him slowing on south- bound I-275, and triggered an accident that involved six other vehicles.
The accident occurred at 3:12 p.m. just north of the Fowler Avenue exit as traffic began to slow due to an unrelated vehicle fire.
According to troopers, Michel A. Guion, 46, was driving the truck in the center lane and failed to slow or stop. The front of his truck rear ended a vehicle that pushed into the rear of an- other. The semi then hit a trailer being towed by a pickup truck, causing the trailer to jackknife to the left ahead of Guion. The semi then hit the driver’s side of the truck and pushed it into the rear of two other vehicles.
One person was hospitalized with minor injuries in the accident.
