  Collegiate Day At College Hill Church Of God In Christ
Ms. Deborah Barnes, Presi- dent of Gamma Theta Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., presented a check in the amount of $1,000 for the church’s scholarship fund. The check was presented to the pastor, Supt. Charles Davis.
Rev. Quincenia Bell of Bible- Based Fellowship Church, Car- rollwood, was the speaker.
Rhudine Brown, formerly of the Florida Mass Choir, sang a solo.
Former State Rep. Betty Reed Recognized
   College Hill Church of God In Christ held its 8th Annual Collegiate Day earlier in the year. Parishioners and guests were encouraged to wear their favorite college tee shirts.
The guest speaker for the service was retired educator, Rev. Quincenia Bell of Bible-Based Fellowship Church. Ms. Tee Solomon was the program chairperson. (Photos by Julia Jack- son)
 Earlier in the year, the Hillsborough County Democratic Black Caucus recognized former State Representative Betty Reed for her service to the community.      Mrs. Reed’s husband, James and Tampa’s Chief of Police, Brian Dugan were in attendance.
  Several members of the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority attended the service.

  Also in attendance were: Property Appraiser, Bob Henriquez, Henry and Jeffery Rhodes.
