T. I. Honored By Georgia State Senate For Community Impact
T. I.’s work in the commu- nity was celebrated by the Georgia State Senate. Tip ap- peared at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta to be hon- ored for his contributions in his home state on Friday (March 22).
The Grand Hustle boss was recognized for his nonprofit or- ganizations Harris Community Works, which leads the charge of his philanthropic work, and For The Love Of Our Fathers, which specifically focuses on helping people with Alzheimer’s disease and de- mentia.
Donzella James, a Demo- cratic state senator, sponsored the resolution to honor T.I .’s work through these organiza- tions, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

speaking at Georgia schools as part of his post-prison commu- nity service. The veteran rap- per has also hosted an annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in Atlanta.
The efforts of T. I. have gone beyond his home state too, including his outspoken criticism of the criminal justice system. He’s also been out in front of situations such as the Gucci boycott.
Jaden Smith Helped Bring Clean Water To Flint
As the Flint water crisis con- tinues to impact the lives of residents of the Michigan city, actor and rapper Jaden Smith partnered with First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to bring clean water to those in need.
The Associated Press reports the 20-year-old's foundation, JUST goods company, teamed with the church to design and launch "The Water Box," a mo- bile water filtration system that cleanses water of harmful sub- stances.

Since 2014, Flint residents have battled state and local
governments over their right to have clean, drinkable water.
Contaminated and corrosive water pipes containing lead and rust has led to Legion- naires' disease outbreaks and the deaths of residents.
Households routinely relied on bottled water to do everyday tasks such as cook and clean. While residents suffer, well over a dozen state and local of- ficials are embroiled in ongo- ing investigations. About 15 people have yet to be con- victed.
Monica Files For Divorce From Shannon Brown After 8 Years Of Marriage
The boy is no longer hers. R&B star Monica filed for divorce from her husband, for- mer Los Angeles Laker Shan- non Brown, in Atlanta in
early March, TMZ reports.
A rep for Monica did not immediately respond to re- quest for comment, while a rep for Brown could not be
reached.
The Grammy winner, 38, se-
cretly married the athlete, 33, in a private L. A. wedding cere- mony in November 2010, and the pair kept their matrimony under wraps for months before confirming the news in Janu- ary 2011. Monica (born Mon- ica Denise Arnold) and Brown later tied the knot again, in front of family and fa- mous friends, at a second cere- mony and reception in July 2011.
On Instagram, Monica has- n’t worn a rock on her wedding finger since a Feb. 25 post.

Then, on March 2, she posted another ringless photo on Instagram, writing: “Trea- sure people while they are present to feel your gratitude. To my children you are the rea-
son. The center of my joy , I love you ! To my supporters you are all irreplaceable!!” Monica and Brown share a 5-year-old daughter, Laiyah Shannon. Monica also has two sons, 13-year-old Rodney (aka “Rocko”) and Romelo, 11, from a past engagement; Brown has another son, Christopher, from a previous relationship.
In March 2018, Monica opened up about her blended family and how she and Brown coparent.
“You have to think of the children first at all times and the reality is, if it’s not about them it’s not up for discussion. We have to tuck our feeling in as a blended family and say ‘okay what would be best’ and what’s the best way,” she told Essence at the time.
In the meantime, Monica is focusing on her career. The singer is filming the video for her latest single, “Commit- ment” — directed by Teyana Taylor — this week in Atlanta.
Unearthed Lil Wayne Notebook With Hot Boys Lyrics Selling For $250K
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina nearly destroyed an unearthed notebook reportedly belonging to Lil Wayne.
The notebook was found to contain the lyrics to Hot Boys‘ Guerrilla Warfare joints “I Feel” and “We On Fire,” likely penned when he was just 17 years old. One slide of the notepad shows what appears to be the head of R. Kelly sketched out at the bottom.
The Hip Hop artifact is going for $250,000 through auto- graph dealers Moments In Time.
According to TMZ, the per- son who came into possession of the notebook says they dis- covered it in a car that once be- longed to Cash Money Records. He kept the pad boxed up in his garage, however when Katrina ravaged the city of New Orleans he had to evacuate.

This isn’t the first time something of Wayne’s was left behind in a car. Remember, that’s how “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli accidentally got a hold of Tha Carter V in 2017.
‘Dumbo’ Will Be Global Big Top Attraction With $137M+ Footprint
Dumbo, the first of four Dis- ney live-action adaptations this year based off its animated vault, is set to take off this weekend, though not with the stomp of its previous uber-hits, Beauty and the Beast ($357M worldwide debut), Alice in Wonderland ($210.1M WW start) or even 2014’s Malefi- cent ($170M opening).
Dumbo, directed by Alice‘s Tim Burton, is a different type of movie, based off a much older Disney 1941 re- lease than recent remakes. While Burton brought punch and snap to Alice and a groovy

‘Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out’ Gets 90-Episode Renewal
Ahead of Wild ‘N Out’s 13th- season premiere this summer, MTV has ordered 90 additional episodes of the Nick Cannon- hosted comedy improv compe- tition series to take it through Season 16.
The multi-season pickup is a recognition of Wild ‘N Out’s role in MTV’s continuing rat- ings upswing as the Viacom cable network is pacing for its record seventh consecutive quarter of growth in adults 18- 34 and adults 18-49 (Live+3) after launching 5 of the top 10 highest-rated new unscripted cable series of 2018. When in cycle, Wild ‘N Out contributed to 10% of MTV’s schedule as

well as 10% of the net’s total ratings.
The most recent full season of Wild ‘N Out in summer 2018 was the No. 1 cable series on Friday nights with men 12-24 and men 18-24.
