Vision Zero Quick Build Open Streets Event
The Freedom Riders exhi- bition is finally open. Learn about the brave men and women who risked their lives bringing attention to the harsh realities of segregation in interstate travel.
Due to scheduling con- flicts, the museum has de- cided to move the date for Kenya Woodard's lecture. It will now be held on Sun- day, March 27th at 2PM. So mark your calendars for a fascinating lecture on the his- tory of the Black press in Florida! Stay tuned for more details.
The museum is also con- sidering the idea of develop- ing an online store to sell goods from our gift shop (T- shirts, postcards, hats, and
KENYA WOODARD
more!) We are trying to gauge interest in this idea, so let us hear your thoughts.
The Sulphur Springs Mu- seum is located at 1101 E. River Cove St., Tampa (33604).
Mark your calendars for the Vision Zero Quick Build Open Streets Event on Satur- day, March 19th from 12 p. m. – 4 p. m.!
To celebrate the work on this new Vision Zero Quick
Build project, the City of Tampa is hosting an Open Street block party at 14th St Avenida Republica de Cuba (21st Ave. to Columbus Dr.). The street will be closed to vehicles and open for neigh-
bors to gather and play.
This Vision Zero program is a part of Mayor Jane Castor's initiative to trans- form Tampa's tomorrow. For more information, please
