Virtual Seminar To Discuss Mental Health Issues In The Family
Florida A&M University Scholarship Gala
Building Strong Families, Inc., will host a virtual men- tal health wellness seminar on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. through Zoom. The focus of this seminar is "Mental Health Issues in the Family: Helping Our Families Heal”.
Licensed mental health professionals will discuss: Recognizing the Signs and Symptoms of Men- tal Health Issues; Mental Health Issues in Our Chil- dren and Youth; and Men and Mental Health: Being that Safe Space.
The speakers include: Dr. Benetta Wholuba, a licensed clinical psychologist at Orange Park Medical Cen- ter; Khalilah Louis
Caines, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Director of Field Education and In- structor in the MSW Pro- gram at Saint Leo University; and Dr. Michael Mays, a Licensed Marriage and Fam- ily Therapist and Chief Oper- ating Officer with AMaysing Services, Inc.

The Polk County Alumni Chapter of Florida A&M University Virtual Scholar- ship Gala, was held on Sat- urday, February 19th.
The announcement was made at the Scholarship Gala that Uriah Smith from Lakeland, Florida, was awarded the Raymondo O'Neal Scholarship, in the amount of $5,000.00, for the Fall and Spring semester of 2022 to 2023 year.
Congratulations to Uriah Smith on her educa- tion success and future en- deavors.
